I notice supports across all ELOs are complaining about being the highest priority.
So what if they made it less valuable to kill supports? For instance:
“Upon eliminating an enemy support, the enemy team will receive a 10% movement and attack speed buff”.

It’s almost like the best strategy is to take out the healers first.
Being the role that can hold 80% of the hero cast’s healing makes it kind of inherently op and thus a priority target. I say we try another approach.
Just lower their healing so you can actually kill the tank through being healed, if not then the supports will always have to die first so the tank can die. Tank dead = fight lost

I think this would make supports get blamed more for deaths or losses.
What if they made it so that
- Primary heal skills are replaced with utility.
- All supports have a passive to heal those around them.
This way, supports will get less complaints from their teammates and it could make the support role more fun instead of feeling like a healbot.
Of course, you will still have the responsibility to heal your teammates by being near them but I believe these changes will make it so that dps and tanks won’t complain as much towards their supports.
What if support players learned to defend themselves and did something besides heal bot the whole game…
Thats the real problem here, with the shift to 5v5 the healbot playstyle doesn’t work, but instead of adapting, people just get upset and blame the game for problems players cause themselves…
Im not a good support player because i pump out the most heals… im a good support player because im as much a threat to my enemies as i am an asset to my allies
