What heroes would you describe as "boring" to play as

I would say

Always boring: Moira, Zenyatta, Reaper
Get boring after a few matches: Zarya, Roadhog, Rammatra, Sigma, Bastion

If I was limiting myself to heroes I actually play sometimes, I’d say Cassidy. He’s solid but he’s so point and click with nothing else going on. The most entertaining part about playing Cass is saying the funny cowboy phrases at everybody and charming them.

Sombra. Vulture Simulator is quite repititve, and the ranks I play in know how to deal with her so it’s a 50/50 between curbstomping somebody or getting curbstomped myself.

Mostly just Mercy. Just because of how team dependent she is.

I’d also add counter heros to that list. Like, I like playing sombra when I want to, but I find her boring to soley hack doom and ball because they won’t get off my supports. Or when all you do is perma stalk widow because 1 shot.

Characters with complex kits. The more you have in your kit, the easier the game gets. I never feel stressed because I know I will always have something to use as long as I’m not spamming wildly.

That’s why I like Reaper. Everything relies on how I move, aim, and position with no free “do whatever I want” abilities. If I want to get to the backline, I need to predict where the enemy will go, find the most optimal position to teleport/walk to, and then pray to god that nothing unexpected happens in the process.

Everything comes at a heavy price and demands that I commit to my actions. Unlike something like Sombra where you have 0 commitments and can just leave whenever you please.

Moira: Low skill ceiling so there isn’t really much to learn to master her and the forgiving aim just takes the fun out of securing elims IMO.

Mercy: I feel like I’m on spectator mode when playing her plus not being able to defend myself is a huge hell no from me.

too low skill floor characters are always boring to play, and even more boring to play against. They make the whole game boring.

wraith form is definitely a leave whenever you want ability. At least Sombra’s has a cast time and can be killed after / before teleporting (besides a very short window where she’s mid-teleport)

Probably Moira. I used to love her back in OW1 (mained her, climbed a rank and got my first golden weapon for her), but these days I only play her if my preferred Supports are taken, and I never have a particularly good time.
