Interestingly they were supposed to rework reaper and possibly moira but they axed both reworks and now I think is the first time in OW2 when we didn’t have any pending reworks. But does anybody need them?
SOMBRA, orisa and mauga… they should be skilled heros.
and mercy pocket need a rework to.
I think they merged the rework with the perks system. Perks can be used to replace mini reworks.
The only reworks still needed are for fundamentally flawed characters like Sombra.
There are a lot imo; Ball, Doom, Hog, Mauga, Orisa, Pharah, Sombra, Widow, Ana, Kiriko and Mercy all have kits that are problematic and will never be “balanced” through number changes without completely destroying them.
Plus a few that are arguable for being noob stomp characters like Zarya, Bastion, Genji, Junk, Reaper and Moira who have kits that leave them stuck in limbo where they can’t be buffed or nerfed because they stomp bad players and are various degrees of useless against good ones.
Bastion, just return its repair back. Devs should replace grenade by repair, make grenade as perk. And return old ult either as perk one, either as permanent ult
Reaper, I think he just need reduced shadow step cast time, maybe by 50%.
Ugh, Moira. Make unique mechanic for her. When enemy out of moira sight (aim indicator) it takes reduced damage by 25%, but if enemy in sight it takes increased by 25% damage. Now dodging against moira is useful and Moira players also should have good traction aim. You can change percent number to balance her more accuracy
Bastion, Symmetra & Sombra
Sombra, Hog, Mauga, and Ana.
You can absolutely reduce doom’s frustration massively without reworking him, doom players have been telling blizzard how to for years. The problem is they don’t listen.
- Symmetra (away from team TP slave, more dps power either survivability or burst).
- Sombra (away from burst stealth assassin)
- Widow (remove oneshot, give her a real kit)
- Mercy (Give her a worthwhile ult, that will make her pocket a broken godscan way less)
Tanks dont need reworks, at least not around the dogcrap 5v5 solo tank format.
The moira rework was likely just meant to PR to get Genji mains into the sequel. It was a bad idea from the get go.
