What hero has the toughest perk choices?

I’d say Mauga. The free reload is super strong especially if you’re doing a lot of long dashing in the first place, but being tankier on objectives is also great and counting as 2 people is especially good in payload

Then with majors being able to stomp a squishy and immediately dump crits into them is insane, but the burst healing can really save you in a pinch and also helps against ana

So overall so far he’s the one where I’ve been taking the biggest variety of perks

I haven’t played enough of the heroes, but I do agree with mauga having tougher choices. I don’t think all of his perks are amazing, but they are all useful depending on the situation and what you want. Between more dmg uptime, or more defense.

Sometimes I’m torn between Echo two major perks. Her extra stickies is great for tank busting. But having extra time after a copy is great for ults with time duration. Overall i think the extra sticky dmg is better but there are times where I feel the other would be better for certain situations.

Isn’t that a minor perk?

Pharah I would say. I’ve quickly developed a solid preference for most heroes on at least one of their perk levels. Pharah’s options seem pretty equal relative to each other.

Moving during barrage and getting 75 shield health both seem useful, hard to really write off either of them as being worse than the other.

Her one major with the extra fuel is pretty underwhelming. But the reverse concussive blast isn’t exactly a straight upgrade, it comes at the cost of your mobility. So the fuel one still is worth taking sometimes since it keeps you on ‘normal’ pharah I suppose, instead of the less mobile version that has the mini-graviton.

Sigma has some solid perks. Their strengths from map to map, but even then I find it hard to chose.

In the opposite sense of the question, Reaper has some pretty trash perks, in which I also find it difficult to choose which one is less :poop: .

Long range tele is good on certain maps. I hope they buff the double shot it would be fun if it wadn’t so mediocre

Oh I’m dumb I messed it up. I meant to compare copying teammates with the extra duration

Teleport is really only useful for leaving spawn faster because of how bad Shadow Step is as an ability (period) in any scenario that places you near enemies (whether that be going in or getting out).

On the other hand, Soul Orbs aren’t much better because they force you to run over to enemy corpses. 90% of the time that’s in LoS or directly in the middle of the enemy team.

Both come with heavy drawbacks. They’re so niche that the playstyle with perks in comparison to without perks is nearly identical.

I haven’t tried his perks out yet, but maybe S76?

Recycled Pulse Munitions

  • Helix Rockets reload 15 ammo if they damage an enemy.

Field Emergency

  • Biotic Field’s healing is increased by 100% on critical health allies.

Agility Training

  • Sprint’s speed is increased by 20% and Reload can be performed while Sprint is active.

Stim Pack

  • Biotic Field can be used as a Stim Pack, increasing Attack Speed and Reload Speed by 30% while being unhealable for 4 seconds.

When I’ve looked at most characters’ perks there either seems to be a clear winner, or there’s two clear losers. Looking at these, though, I can see myself going for any of these perks depending on how confident I am. Assuming that Field Emergency works on 76 himself, anyway.

Yeah, what makes him interesting is that the field one is good, but if you take stim pack you’ll be placing fewer fields, but taking both is still sometimes worth it

In my personal experience, Ana. I know Biotic Bounce is generally considered better, but I just love Groggy.

For her Majors, I can’t hit headshots very well and I also don’t really DPS enough to make Nano Boosting myself feel impactful

Reinhardt, because all his perks are useless.
It’s a tough choice.

Not really a “tough choice” but Ana majors are situational for me. I like to pick the headshot one against a Pharah or a Tracer. Otherwise I usually go for the self nano. For the other one I always go with the nade perk.
