If i buy a BP what will happen to it if i don’t finish it? Did they yoink my money and the items i didn’t get 
I mean like any BP ever, its over so if you didnt got something you lost it forever money was wasted.

Some of the items might go back into the store, but you lost your chance to get them by leveling it up.
you can always buy it after you finish it if you’re afraid you will not finish it in time

Yea one game that does so.
I can also find you game that have 100% free battlepass you cant pay to lvl up even if you want, but that ecxeption from the “norm” we live in.
Not every battle pass ever. Eternal return has a system in place where you spend a small amount of money to switch back to an older battle pass, Unfortunately that game does a lot of other scummy bullcrap that i won’t recommend the game, but their battle pass system is well designed at least.
The scummy practice that eternal return does is making limited skins and then locking that limited skin behind 100 dollar bundles.
then whatever you dont get you dont get most likely, like most BP.
imho, i have a feeling they will extend this BP though because of their delays and people needing to still get in to buy it so no worries most likely.
