Everyone knows mauga will be nerfed at some point, but with everyone focused on him I’m worried the upcoming mid season patch won’t touch anyone else. I feel like on tank rammatra will also need some minor nerf, since he got the armour boost I haven’t lost a single game that didn’t have a Mauga. For DPS I can’t tell if Mei needs adjusting or if she’s just getting so much play because of Mauga. Support I think should be left alone for the moment since they are reworking healing altogether next season. Any thoughts on what might be too strong without Mauga being OP?

Question, what happens if were to make every hero that people complain about like totally useless, no longer fun to play, who will be left? And what will be next? Maps? Modes? Cross play? Imagine all the complainers got what they want, What would the game even look like then?

Mauga faces the same problem as all Brawlers: Sustain
Hog has it ways around it with take a breather and hook. He can shorten the time he is exposed quite a lot unlike JQ and Mauga
I would even throw Winston into the pile, but Winston has tools to compensate, jump and barrier, he even got a long range poke
DF has comparable tools to Winston
Rein, well, he struggles
In all honesty I have no idea what the solution is to fix Brawler in OW
Once the stats show enough of the filthy poors unlocked him he will actually get balanced and then we’ll do this all again as they gaslight about how they’re trying real hard not to put the hero in the battle pass.

If mauga falls out of the meta, it will be hog and ram. Maybe some sig still.

Nerf mauga and probably reduce some of the extra armor ram got. Maybe they tweak the kiriko buff back but who knows at this point.

Well, I said in another thread that I was so confident Illari would get buffed mid-season that if she doesn’t, I’d kiss Bobby Kotick’s nipples. So let’s hope that change comes through.
Dev said it’s a “goal” of theirs, which suggests that it’s not their choice and they have to convince the powers that be.

her ult is far from impactful. 99% of the times it does nothing: the amount of sustain, protection and invulnerability really turns around her ult. Clearly nerfed a bit too much.

Also her gun: I feel it discharges a bit too fast… I wish it had more uptime or more healing, but according to Overbuff her healing is actually pretty okay.
Also about her gun: they halved the projectiel size…soemtimes I hit heads and sometimes I feel it unfairly misses. Acoording to overbuff she has a VERY low damage.
I think it depends on how hard they nerf Mauga, because I don’t think he will just be good or in the middle, I think he will be one of those heroes who are either Op like he is now or borderline unplayable.
But back to your Question, I agree I think Ram will be the next meta Tank. Sigma will always be good and Monkey, Hog and Doom could also see solid playtime after a Mauga Nerf.
