What happened to the original Mercy statue pose?

Whilst I’m appreciative of Blizzard offering us the chance to buy a Mercy Statue I’m very upset that they changed her pose from “Heroes Never Die!”, aka mass rez, as shown in the opening of the Overwatch World Cup where most of the other statues got their poses to her passively offering a helping hand.

All the other heroes have poses from either in game highlight intros or victory poses so why not Mercy? Even the description of the statue references the voice line and the pose that goes with it:

“Heroes never die.” A guardian angel to those who come under her care, Dr. Angela Ziegler is a peerless healer, a brilliant scientist, and a staunch advocate for peace.

It’s one of the most iconic poses of Overwatch. It’s one of the things that defines Mercy as a character.

Was the pose seriously changed because mass rez is not in the game any more?

It just lends a massive amount of credence to the theory that Mercy’s original identity is being erased. By the end of the rework will their be anything left of the character many people have came to love? :frowning:

On a positive note my thanks to the artistic team for their hard work as it looks like they have done an excellent job on the models details and Angela’s likeness has been captured beautifully.
