Weren’t we promised the avoid list would extended to 3 definite avoids and 7 hopefully avoids? It’s still sitting at 3. They announced it during S9 so surely S11 was the latest it would come?

In classic Blizzard fashion they probably needed another few dozen meetings on that topic.
No point. Can’t avoid garbage, it everywhere.
A lot of people (including myself) thought it was a Season 11 feature because it was announced alongside a bunch of other Season 11 changes.
A weird choice in hindsight.

Wow, I can see there are some inefficiencies in their development process! A minimum of 4 months to implement an extension to the avoid list? Incredible really. Sure, they need to tweak the MM to deal with top-3 vs. bottom-7, and they have admitted in the past they don’t really know how the MM works any more (lots of parameters, change them and see what happens), so perhaps that’s what is holding it up.

I’d rather have avoid-specific, like, I don’t play with Balls and Dooms, or I don’t want to have afk sombra in my team. If the player caters to playing these heroes he is less likely to get in my games. No need 1000000 slots to avoid, just need specific heroes banned from your lobbies, that’s it.

And how would this even work? you choose your heroes after the game starts. How can the MM know what someone will choose.

I’ve heard there are such definitions as OTPs and Mains, also profiles show that. Sees filthy OTP ball - avoids putting into match.

200 OW devs working 40 hours a week can’t seem to get the avoid list changes into the game, they are good at recoloring skins though.

It literally says “Season 12 and beyond” in the Developer Update video from Season 9.
Yeah but see the promised it in season 11 and still cant even deliver the most simplest of things. They are truely a bad group of devs/leadership.
