So I remember when the 27th hero wasn’t released, there was a teasor of a Turkish guy, Emre Sarıoğlu.
What happened to him? Is he ever gonna be added to game or a map of Istanbul or something gonna be added to the game?
Probably just a throwaway NPC type like the Talon guy sent after Baptiste.

Emre was a throwaway, it was confirmed. He might become an actual character at some point? But currently he’s just a random name and nothing else.

Like I said, we’ll maybe get Emre as a character some time in future. But as of last year, when that teaser came out, he was a throwaway.
I would guess that they spend about ~2 years on a hero given what we know about their development process. That could be wrong but that’s my guess. At the time of Brig’s release, Emre was confirmed to just be a throwaway name, meaning that if they decided to attatch that name to a hero and my estimation for a hero release is accurate, the earliest you would get Emre is hero 33.
Wasn’t there an original OverWatch founding member too we haven’t heard from?
