Now, this is by far her best skin IMO, the design is amazing, the glowing colors are really nice, it’s just overall a really good skin, definitely the Sombra skin that had the most effort put into it… but I still can’t figure this out:

there is a monster in Diablo 3 called Rime, and also the sword of the same name that has ice damage.
sorry the sword is Rimeheart. Still both are ice based in terms of elements.
She’s Sombra, but rimed.
I feel like they just made a skin of the same type as symmetra (most likely halloween leftover or something) so they just painted it blue and called it a day.
And sadly even with that it is one of the better xmas skins.

I remember hearing the person who designed Dragon Symmetra also did Rime, so the dragon theme seems likely
“Rime: also called rime ice. an opaque coating of tiny, white, granular ice particles, caused by the rapid freezing of supercooled water droplets on impact with an object” or “hoarfrost” so I believe it’s just supposed to be a winter, icy sort of skin. Myth and folklore-wise, the closest thing I can find relating to that would be Jack Frost and the Jötnar (giants/spirits of darkness and winter).
I just considered her to be some weird ice fairy/pixie in the same vein as Jack Frost, I suppose? Idk. I never really thought about it.
