What does the star mean for resolution settings?

I upgraded from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz monitor and was wondering what the (*) means beside the resolution setting meant. A google search didn’t tell me a whole lot either.

I think it’s the native resolution

yea think thats just the default resolution on ur monitor. prob so you can find it easier. gives you options to lower it in case u have like a 4k monitor but u want those frames so u go 1440p or 1080p.

Ah, okay. I was wondering. I thought the (*) might have been the opposite, like it was outside the scope of the monitor or something. Thanks for the help!
