What does "in app" and "mobile" mean?

Sometimes I notice on my friends list that some people are are either ‘in app’ or on ‘mobile’. Anybody know what any of these mean?

In App means that they have Battle. Net open but aren’t playing a game.

Not sure what mobile is though.

Mobile means that they have the blizzard app open on their phone which is connected to they battle tag IN APP means that they have the app open but no game open (PC)

Ok potentially stupid question: what is the point of the mobile app? Only hearthstone is on mobile for blizz right?

Talk to friends and check on downloads. Also has updates, patch notes, and some add ons for some games.

Here’s the point, Hearthstone.

Mobile app is weird though. Sometimes it shows me or my friends online as Mobile even when the app is closed and the phone is off.

In app, they’re on PC with the launcher open and mobile is self explanatory but in case you didn’t know, there’s a mobile app.
