For Low Elo… Solo… Quickplay?
I was wondering if any of you could post a list of what each support would do/bring to a low elo solo quickplay game.
For Low Elo… Solo… Quickplay?
I was wondering if any of you could post a list of what each support would do/bring to a low elo solo quickplay game.
I don’t understand what you want listed here? If you know the abilities, you already know what they offer.
The heroes play very differently from each other.
I also added a dps comparison to the heroes, to better describe how the weapon usages and movements feel like to me.
Ana can deal reliable long range hitscan damage and heals. Along with denying ults with sleep and offering healing buffs and healing denial.
A good ult to highlight a well playing teammate.
I would compare her gameplay to ashe’s
Baptiste has a lot of heals to offer with good damage. Immortality is good to deny ults or to prolong a teammate’s life.
Matrix is good for zoning an area or boosting your heals.
Soldier esque but with more vertical movement.
Brig is tricky, she’s bad against long range heroes like widow and soujourn. Exels in short range/brawling comps. Okay with tanks like reinhardt and JQ.
Good at displacing flankers from your fellow support.
Best in teamfights.
Gameplay and range is vaquely similar to reaper or mei, you want to be close but not in the middle of the fight unless you’re ulting.
Illari is good if no one else is on the payload, and good in holding chokes with the sustain from pylon.
Hitscan, so relatively accurate. The most aggressive ult out of the entire support roster.
Her shooting feels like sojourn’s rail shot, just less damage.
Kiriko, headshot multiplier. Very good teamfight ult that hasten’s everyone’s movement and attack speed. Cleanses status ailments and has good movement.
Well timed, suzu can deny ults and other big damage.
Feels like hanzo, but without the arrow drop off.
Lifeweaver is difficult to get value out of, with low to medicore heals you have to dps a lot but not too much, really nice to pull a friendly out of a solo ult. Good at short and medium range damage.
A longe range mei is how he feels like to me.
Lucio has speed boost. That’s the big thing along with his personal movement and the ability to displace squishies a lot. Good at shutting down widowmakers in low elos if you know how to skate on the walls to get to her. Bonus health from his ult can save his team from anything.
Perma tracer speed but no recall, very genji like style of hopping around his enemies.
Mercy has good mobility and steady low to medium healing, offering also a mini damage boost that’s only as good as the teammate that you boost.
Rez can help out in fights or if someone gets picked off just before. Just position yourself smartly.
She deals okay damage, but not enough people use that.
No direct comparison to other heroes, vaquely similar feel in damage as echo’s primary.
Moira has one of the best survivals out of the support roster. Good aoe heals when using primary and heal orb at the same time. Counter’s genji’s reflect and has a very forgiving aim in general.
Sojourn slide with immortality, but long range mei primary for damage as comparison.
Zenyatta is the most damage oriented support. He has bad survival, but he can also melt anyone. Discord orb is one of the best damage boosting abilities in the game, while not being dependent on a single teammate’s performance to get value out of.
Massive aoe heal as an ult.
Shooting feels a tad similar to cowboy’s.
What support is best for low elo solo quicplay?
If you want to carry? Bap, Zen, Kiri, Ana if you have REALLY good aim.
So no Ana for me … The other I will work on.
Low elo, Moira. No question.
If you struggle to aim, position and coordinate your abilities then Moira is the best choice for carrying yourself out of low elo. Ofc simply by playing support you make solo queueing so much worse for yourself, but playing a high skill (supposedly high reward, even tho he is garbage rn) hero like Zen in low elo when you can’t use his kit is essentially just throwing. You’ll spend more time floating back to teammates than you will actually in fights.
Baptiste is best if you strictly want to do damage without dying too often while still having notable healing potential
Ana is best if you’d rather focus on healing with damage on the side since her abilities are strong enough to swing fights without you getting kills
Zen is great if you’re confident in your ability to survive. He brings great damage with reliable healing. As long as you don’t put yourself in situations where you’re easy to single out then Zen will output damage, healing, and general support reliably.
Those are the best three for solo queue carrying. Kiriko is best if you straight up just want to survive, but carrying with her is notably more difficult than the above. She’s more of a troll to make people angry and win that way.
Well Ana is out … I have terrible aim.
Will try out the others… I have trying Kiri at the moment.
If your aim is lacking, Zen would be a better pick than Kiriko I think since his offensive presence is both in his weapon as well as his discord just helping his team
Kiriko hurts like Zen, but doesn’t get the discord-tier damage on body shots. Body shots for her are like non-discord shots while headshots are discord shots essentially. Zen also has the charge shot for extra spam.
I wanna add here that your high damage potential makes you a threat on flanks, which you can take very safely thanks to a seven-second “gotta get back to my team” button if need be. The headshot multiplier can make her damage very feast or famine, and the kunai take a while to get the hang of, but you can be a real pest on the off-angle while still helping your team when they need it.
I’m also of the opinion that you should use Kitsune Rush pretty early in a fight. The second you see the smallest opening, just use it, and you’ll be surprised how you and your team can muscle through with it. Even if it doesn’t seem to get much value, you can build it back quickly and the most wasted ult is the one that’s never used.
Not really, mostly because those heroes really really want different supports name Lucio and Kiri/bap/ana. Queen brig is ok ig. I basically don’t pay attention to my tank if I’m thinking about if brig is a good choice. I look at my other support and my DPS. If they’re on the fragile side brig gains value since she’s good at keeping them alive.
Sometimes you can play more brawly but oftentimes you just play like mercy; you pocket your teammates. And sometimes hold short off angles to deny flankers.
At lower ranks you get punished less so you can push aggressively but brig is still slow and relatively fragile so you really have to know what you’re doing. Just living and procing inspire as much as you can and pocketing DPS/your other support is really all you need. Inspire is busted.
