I’m in my late 20s and have no clue what diff means
it’s a term used to trash talk others
it means (x) played bad or the “difference” between two people playing the same hero was that severe
“widow diff” means my widow was so much better than yours. the difference between the two widows was huge in that case
They’re saying “one did way better than the other.”
Like a differential or they’re just built different.
I’ll add that it isn’t always “mine was better than yours”
Sometimes people complain and use it as a way to say “our Widow was terrible compared to theirs”
It can be used to both vent or gloat.
true facts
or it doesn’t even have to be a mirror matchup you can just say rein diff if your rein was just bad
in my experience the people saying diff are usually the people who do the diffing
As mentioned above, it’s trash talk abbreviation for “difference.” Be warned that it is one of the loaded text terms that Defense Matrix actively scans for when evaluating user reports, so using it too often will likely result in a chat ban or account suspension. I.E., don’t say it unless you are willing to risk possible account loss.
Oh yeah. I’ve seen people say “Torb diff” when only one team had a Torb. I’ve seen it used both to say “They were just that good” or “they were just that bad”
Oh well, if you don’t know diff, do you at least know ‘slay’?
It means “Please report me for abusive chat.”
It´s a cringe way to pat your self on back and put the other person down.
It means I’m better than everyone at the character not yet even in the game
