…to compete with Netease Marvel Rivals.
a.) Changing damage for a character by 0.000024 to get content creators to make in depth 45 minute videos about it.
b.) Third Pink Mercy Skin, this time the pink is slightly darker and shifted the hue slider in the shader properties a tad to the left.
c.) Overwatch 3 where it’s the same game except they made it 4v4 and removed the on fire system again to hype it up a second time. Skins will also cost 3x.
d.) Make a cute shark character named Jeffrey and accuse Netease of copying them “I mean, even the name Jeffrey in Overwatch vs. Jeff in Marvel Rivals lol.”

I just know that theyre shamelessly making a Kiriko skin to directly compete with Psylocke’s shop skin. You know the one.

nothing as the game is basically dead

Nothing. They have internal roadmap to follow
OP, all of the mentioned options are realistic.

Why would they panic when they know majority of the playerbase will give them money no matter what?
Why change when the addicts are giving them no reason to?

And the best part of it all, that skin is one of Psylocke’s classic comic book skins.
It’s lore friendly
26 new Kiriko skins and 23 new Mercy skins, including recolors.

Probably cooking their resumes.

The poor content creators lol. How can you make daily videos on something like that.
They talked about more strategic depth for a long time and the biggest instance of that was Junkensteins Lab(?) so they might do more with it. Apart from that maybe QoL.
What should be easy is 6v6 competitive.
I don’t think about it so I get surprised. Though I didn’t think about Hazard and the surprise was not fun…
More skins to the shop and collabs that are horrible, 60 bucks per bundle.
Even more corporate speeches to shareholders, to reassure them about the profitability of the game, which according to their internal data is doing very well and is not worried by a new competitor who attracts everyone to it.
And if ever the opposite happens, they already have plenty of collabs and skins for cute or sexy characters to sell.
Even more speeches to players and influencers to tell them that they listen to them and hear them, but that for now they will do what they have already decided in their corner without consulting anyone outside, and that they will try to take into account what they have been told in the future (i.e. at best in 10,000 years).
A new game mode with 9 points to capture and defend, with a scoring system based on at least 20 variables, for even more fun.
And many other surprising surprises that will surprise you.
For good or bad, no one can say yet even if everyone already has their own little idea about it.
Mayonnaise with chocolate.
Return of archives event so they can finally release a Talon season and Heavy Assault Mauga Legendary or Mythic skin. Then they can release 1 mission set up on the past that lasts 10-15mins every year (March-April).
I hope hero bans at the minimum
To compete? Nothing. And I don’t mean that in a negative way. They already have their own plan which we’ve seen for a year. Attempt to improve the PVP experience with random updates, trying game modes in events (like Junkenstein Lab which may or may not be apart of trying something new for PVP), seasonal hero or map releases, cosmetics and collabs. There’s no real reason to stray far from that anymore. Just QOL stuff maybe like someone said above.
i mean when you branch out 4 times to fundamentally change slash elevate the identity of the game and decide not to go through with any of those ideas, you kind of lose trust in yourself as well as lose vision of the future.
which is the exact reason that we have to ask them this question.
