I doubt it, if anything it would bring new life to it and we won’t see the same stale meta with the same heroes.
We will see new hero combinations using different abilities.
So heroes that couldn’t be in Meta with original abilities can be with custom selection.
Coop pve I think. Or maybe just some balance change for destroy goat meta and bring us back to season 1.
Changes on PTR that will go on live even if 99% of the community and even pro players are against it.
New map that changes nothing
New broken Hero who will dominate and create a new meta for the next 4-5 months.
And exclusive new skin for 40 usd.

tbh, i hope it’s junker queen and she’s a tank.
but it’s probably some in-game feature like a better practice range or replay system, who knows.

Just a joke. I don’t blame anything.
Since it is not about the recent surprise:
- Shimada short story/novel the second writer is working for a while. Genji was an agent for blackwatch before being cyberized and that is why we are having a heist: to save him from Hanzo’s wrath. It goes about as well as you expect.
- Faster production lines for heroes at the cost of less maps.
- New kind of map ( you have to destroy the objective).
- New kind of cp: you capture zones of the map. This gives advantages to the team that owns the zone. Said zones can be taken away too.
- (As much as I hate it) Hero bans.
How about that kind of suprise blizzard fans got with Immortal? Do you think we need another one of those because people get overhyped for nothing?
Better to expect less.

I think they’re balanced. Honestly the game is almost completely balanced right now. Just Brigitte trip support now
I don’t have an issue with trip support existing as a viable strat. But it should be like triple tank. Situational and counterable. 2-2-2 should be the base.

Story mode. But i think that’s asking way too much. Especially since ye olde Blizzard is basically Activision now.
I still think the “major” thing they are working on this year is gonna be OWL or esports related. Proably getting the OWWC viewer out to the main game. Otherwise I still think it’s going to be disappointing.
The “Big Surprise” is probably some stupid OWL thing that 99% of the playerbase will not care about.

Guilds. So you can actually find a couple people to group with that won’t intentionally throw. Unfortunately, they will reward us for using this feature with 4x longer Q times, and less SR. Congrats to us.
If it’s bringing Demon Hunter Sombra into the OWL store I will be disappoint.
