I think she’s pretty boring compared to the other supports. Doesn’t really offer anything unique other than her ultimate
She can put out decent numbers on the scoreboard but other than that the only thing she provides for her team is a brief stationary speedboost. Most of the time you’re going to want to pick a support with better utility and survivability, like Lucio or Kiriko for example. She’s hella cute though so…
I think she’s pretty neat. My beef is the lack of crits, but if it weren’t for that, I could see her becoming my go-to.
- She has respectable DPS as far as bodyshotting goes for supports at ~107. She has high HPS at the same value.
- Speed is cool and useful, too much so to be restricted to Lucio.
- Missiles feel like they’re a tiny bit slow to lock-on but even so, they’re neat. Ult will be more useful when my teammates stop running away from it. They do not welcome orbit.
- Vertical mobility, yay.
As far as uniqueness goes, that sort of mindset is what got us Lifeweaver. 'Nuff said. It’s nice to have, but not essential in making a character fun to play as.
She’s pretty fun. I only played her, like, twice though. I’m excited for her to be gone so the support queue goes back to normal. I don’t have much for complaints besides the fact that her massive clip has only a 1 second reload. And I don’t even mean that in the sense that it should be longer—I’m wondering why Lifeweaver’s is the standard 1.5 when she gets to have that.
I’m a little worried that she’ll enable some kind of hyper rush which could be the most insufferable comp possible in the game. God, I hate Reinhardt.
I wish blizzard was brave enough to make her mei’s friend instead of mei’s friend’s daughter. I’m bored of these skinbait designs, sorry !
Thoughts on Juno:
Primary fire is OK. Having healing falloff will take some getting use to.
Lock on rockets are OK. Need to make the release to shoot the default fire mode.
Speed ring is really good. Has some serious potential to help slower heroes and make rush viable.
Glide is bad. No other way to say it. She’s a sitting duck in mid air locked into a set height. Way too easy to kill her.
Ult is good. Will require careful placement, but is really good in supporting a push.
Lack of self heal is a big weakness, and will probably keep her out of the dive meta Blizzard keeps reinforcing every season. She doesn’t have enough personal mobility or self heal to survive a dive. She’ll do well if rush makes a comeback.
She’s new, hence she’s fun in that capacity, but as a flex support player I don’t yet see a compelling reason to play her over Ana, Bap, Kiriko or Zen… maybe in lieu of Lucio with a brawl comp… maybe.
I played her a bit and she seemed to me the most fun hero released in OW2. She’s incredibly well designed and not really oppressive but far from useless either. I think nobody can really hate her, she’s just fair.
The only things I’d improve are:
- speed ring should be deployable much further away from her, the range is quite ridiculous (how much is it now, 5 meters?) so you can speed up teammates who are fighting far from you, like 20 meters
- her ult is far too static, I’m not sure how to improve that because depending on the situation you may want it to move faster or stay still… maybe improve the range… idk
I would say she’s quite unique, but not in a game-changing way.
Juno’s only utility is the speed ring, which is just meh for most players. Speed is valuable for coordinated teams, in E-Sport for example.
Other than that, she brings raw numbers to the table. Healing and damage dealing, so nothing special.
Overall, I find her lacking a distinct identity (gameplay-wise). I hope they rework her slightly for her kit to make sense.
And I hope they design future heroes in a better way.
