What button do you guys use for push to talk?

I’d rather have PtT, but both of my mouse buttons are taken up by melee and Pulse Bomb, and caps lock is apparently not a button I can use for it.

My mouse has 10 buttons because this game requires so many inputs. So mouse button #7 is P2T. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lmao, it’s the Razer Naga Trinity, it weighs about 120 grams. Not too bad. Heavier than my old Razer Deathadder but lighter than my Logitech G502 hero.

I just do the opposite and play with open mic… then when I’m in the middle of a sneeze/taking a drink/just don’t want to be heard, etc… I just reach over with my left-hand thumb and hit the ‘m’ key to mute myself.

I use F key and my interact bind is 3. I don’t do much for interaction in game so it works fine for me.

I use the ~ key. I also have that set as my push-to-mute in discord so that I can keep in game and discord chat separate.

I’ve tried that, and it’s fine when I’m doing QP, but when I’m just chilling and playing VS AI, I have my game sounds turned off and my music turned up so I can sing along (very poorly) and I forget I’m on open mic and end up accidentally embarrassing myself by serenading the lobby until someone reminds me my mic is live. :flushed:

I always expect my mute+gamertag to always be on screen. If I don’t see it, I’m unmuted.

I use the key next to the 1 key. It’s called the tilde key. Always worked for me.

I tried a few different things and they all suck in different ways.

I started out with the default ~ but in order for me to push that button I can’t walk left, use my ult, or use my shift ability.

Then I tried binding it to my side mouse button right next to my melee and changing from push to talk to toggle mute. But I would hit this on accident without realizing and embarrass myself.

Then I think I did toggle mute but went back to the ~. Or maybe I only thought about doing that and just went back to push to talk with ~ and stopped using voice.

I use open mic, if i don’t want to say anything my mic is muted, it waste time and resources to push to talk, resources being fingers when they could be else where…

I was using cheap 20-30 dollar ones till MSI made this one… I really like it cause it doesn’t move at all even when I get excited and push really hard.

I’ve used a foot pedal for PTT and other non-gameplay affecting things for a very long time now so it’s reflex, but you do have to get used to it.

I use the side of my mouse for in game chat, and then things like discord while playing, I use open voice. It’s much easier that way.
