What buffs do you think Mei needs?

If they were to keep Mei in dps category and her wall/cc doesn’t make up for her super bad damage, what do you think she needs?
1.Faster alternate fire rate so she has a chance against other dps
2.Cryofreeze revert and let her automatically reload ammo
3.Ice wall cooldown revert so she can protect herself and isolate targets when needed
4.Ammo partial revert and freeze stun time revert so she is a threat again at close range
5.Faster ultimate travel time and less time needed for freeze but make the AoE smaller
6. Mobility so she doesn’t lack survivability
7. Something else? suggestions

I personally think the first 2 buffs would help her a bit and if they are not enough just try 4th one too

She has alot of utility, why would you buff her DPS on par with other DPS without much/zero utility? Thats how you make OP heroes.

Her utility got nerfed into the ground.

I’d like 200 ammo back but with secondary ammo usage back to 20. Ice wall cooldown back to 10 seconds

I say make mei a tank, make her walls a bit longer and slightly stronger. Give her a bit more hp to like 400 like zarya but of course increase her hitbox a bit because she happens to have an extremely small hitbox for such a “thick” character. Allow her crio not only to self heal but also block some chokes by making the ice a bit larger.

Her ultimate is fine, should probably increase her range a bit more though because its really easy to escape honestly and because shes now a tank, her secondary fire damage needs to decrease to 100 and remove her ability to crit. Her fire rate should be about the same as sigmas if it isn’t already. As for the primary, its a bit complicated because this is where it gets tricky to balance. We cant have a tank completely freeze targets so just slowing players down is more than enough but to compensate should be able to go through shields. Her ult should still be able to completely freeze enemies, well there you have it, this is what I would do to mei.

Getting some of her ammo back would be nice.

Having only 120 ammo makes lengthier teamfights kind of annoying, with how much reloading you have to do.

She’s too slow for the current game as a dps, either you need to make orisa meta or make her op

What do you think of a new ability which lets her throw a snowball at enemies and those hit by it will deal 50% less damage for the next 3-4 seconds? Something similar to antinade (but denies damage, not heal), I’ve been thinking for this kind of dmg reduction ability for a while and it seems to be an interesting addition to her kit.

Its interesting, I would be down to try something like this. Hog players and snipers would probably hate it most lol

40 more ammo and being able to be healed through cryo thats all.

Let her be healed during cryo and honestly that’s it. Game is in a really good place right now, I think they should try to keep it that way until ow2 releases.

I do not think theres anything wrong with her. Still having fun playing her. Pretty good againts Hog shd Ball compd as wel. Which is very common rn.

She can be healed in Cryo… But its actually a bad thing because Mei gains most of her lot charge by healing herself.

maybe but I would think any alt-fire change should min-max her close-ranged damage at any cost aside from ice abilities since them being strong is integral to her viability in any patch. something like tap firing a shotgun with a linear scale tied to time held reducing spread, increasing damage and reducing effective dps due to use time increase (to current or higher m2), reducing fall off, and/or some extra mechanics to make the character have that bit more nuance. fix is a major fault with her kit imo which is that her m2 is way too good of a ranged weapon relative to the rest of her kit. it would make her stronger if she had more tools that deal with close range damage.

fundamentally disagree with mobility being something common. should be expensive or in exchange for some mechanical cost. also mei with any zonebreak potential is broken and giving it to her without a lucio is def kinda bad.

I think I suggested when talking about the gun and thats the only change i would implement to mei if i had a hand on balance atm. mei is a fundamentally solid/good design that just needs to be polished to reach the perfect state of slightly op/up.

Devs changed that she can’t be healed or not even targeted by mercy guardian angel a few months ago. She gets some ult charge by healing her self in cryo, but could get much more if she would deal damage with icicles. Downtime in cryo is just overall bad as she can’t move or use wall etc either

She cant even receive lucio temporary shields when he drops beat, they destroyed her
