WHAT are these patch notes!

No dva nerfs when she is being played every match

Ashe nerfs??? Is she even being played rn. All i see are sombras and reapers every match. Barely even see ashe. Never see mercy so cant see how ashe can be being played and mercy not be

Sombra nerf that doesnt fix the issue. Doesnt address the burst damage you receive from stealth which she deals with the IMPACT damage of virus not the DoT. This just means if the sombra is bad you die slightly slower because if the sombra is good you are dead before the virus DoT is even done with.

Juno tweak when shes still awful. Not even a buff. A compensation nerf for some reason

What are the devs actually doing man. Its crazy we are now going to wait another 2 weeks with dva sombra every game while the new hero continues to be useless. And a big F U to ashe i guess even though she isnt even a problem rn

No armor changes
No global tank buff reverts
No tank headshot passive changes

These changes are literally a big nothing-burger

Ashe needed nerfs, we got a much needed Juno revert since her fire rate change was the biggest problem for the majority, and Winston got a slap on the wrist.
I’ll agree that the devs missed the mark by not including several other heroes who need changes but this patch overall was a W imo

The Sombra nerf doesn’t address her issue but slowing her TTK (even by a little) is appreciated

Lets try this first, no one expected that Sombra would be a disaster when they buffed her, those small changes sometimes make significant impact

All they had to do at minimum was undo the buff to virus. Instead they are doing classic blizzard and refusing to take responsibility and instead changing something else whilst keeping the thing everyone hated

Virus DOT isnt the problem. Its the stupid burst from invis from the impact dmg. I can be healed through or escape from a DOT. I cant be healed through or escape the burst which is the reason she is broken rn. Having a perma invis hero be able to remove your abilities then burst you down in <2 secs then escape for free is stupid.

Terribly misguided change

Don’t know man, my Juno died so many times from this “sombra covid” crap

Yeah Ashe really didn’t need that nerf. What is the logic? Now she can’t defend properly up close and can’t reload fast enough to get back in the action.

It does add some time to deal with her, and I do see why they nerf her with small steps.

Well her damage per bullet is still higher then when she got that test run, so with the increased firing rate, would make her feel better, so a slight buff. I find Juno in a good place, but opinions differ greatly on her. My biggest gripe is that she has no skins. What’s up with that?

i am surprised d.va wasnt included as well but hey i never cared about d.va being strong. i usually dont whine about heroes unless insta-gibbed so heroes like hanzo, widow and bastion really annoy me

i even play widowmaker and she is still one my most favorite heroes. have many hours on her but yea i hate going against a good widow but i have a secret weapon if that happens nowadays… sombra

i never play hanzo so i never really care if he is suffering but hey he got better a bit recently since now he can one shot 225 heroes but its crazy its never enough for him. i think to make him viable in top 500 he would be broken in lower ranks so probably a hard hero to balance

bastion is never really good but yea annoying in certain situations

of course EVERYONE finds sombra annoying to go against but i havent had a problem at all going against her this season. maybe lucky or my low elo or both. i mean i ran across some sombras who have destroyed me but not as much as other heroes

Ashe is always played. I don’t know if there was ever a season where she wasn’t played. She deserved nerfs. Maybe not this heavy-handed of a double nerf, but definitely was strong.

Also, I’ve notice a severe drop in Reaper players recently (not surprised). All I get are Widows, Sombras, Ashes, Tracers, and Junkrats (with the occasional Genji/Cass).

Agreed. This focuses her in a more spam-y style of play, rewarding players from shooting more rather than shooting better. I don’t like the direction they’re going with on this.

Yep. I think this a hotfix patch, so hopefully they redo the nerfs with a little more thought in the mid-season.

Dva 2 bad guys 0 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: :hugs:

Winston is stronger than D.Va.

Yes. A lot!

The issue people were communicating was that she was doing too much damage, even damage over time, with virus especially against heroes who had their HP lowered. This addresses those complaints.

This one is odd. I just want them to revert her back to her playtest. That was perfect. Why they keep putting their hands on her balance and making it worse is beyond me.

The balance team is bad. There’s nothing more to say.

She is though. lol.

To me that just means she is a solidly balanced hero. Not broken and needs changes

And I literally havent even seen ashe this season lol. Its all sombra reaper tracer

Brother ashe was like top3 dps last 4 seasons. This season there was 0 point in ever playing projectile heroes cuz she deletes everyone that fast. Even after this nerf she will be top tier just like cass still is top tier after his nerf as their most powerfull abilitiy (2 taps, or 1hs 1 bodyshot 225 heroes) are still there. Relax

i would rather take a 250 dmg virus but NO invisibility on sombra. She is still 100% as miserable to play against, it does nothing.

Are you comparing cass to an ult?
or are you comparing ashe to cass and saying shes just a better version of him.

Cus like… ashe is supposed to be a better cass at range. Thats the point of the hero. Cass is better in close range than ashe. He is supposed to be a counter dive hero who hinders then picks off the tracers and sombras of the world. Him not being played is more a spotlight on those heroes than cass cus a couple seasons ago he was everywhere

Ashe was fine before these changes. Dive is everywhere. She was already barely existing

I don’t if you mean OW1 included but she was barely played when she just released. Even completely unplayed in OWL back then. Took them a few iterations before she got picked up by the general crowd and OWL.

Nowadays she is also not played that much in heavy dive and personally against a good Ball she can’t do sht and i just swap off.

I think everyone but the devs saw it coming when you buff her damage after nerfing most her targets health

i find she kills better, moar dmg, better controlled FTH on left click. Better roll with bhoop…
also easier to aim with bigger hitbox
i found her pretty good, obviously this may feel clunky i guess but atleast its not a direct dps nerf.

At range, not up close. Not even comparable

Cass has more hp, has dmg reduction, instant reload on roll, hinder nade to counter mobility heroes. He is designed to exist in the backline, deal with flankers and survive.

A sombra tracer reaper would rather fight an ashe than a cass who can actually be scary with his nade and extra health pool. He doesnt just fall over like most backline heroes would

If you’re trying to fight ashe on cass you are LITERALLY playing the hero wrong. Thats like fighting widow on Junkrat

hands tissues out tissues for you… tissues for you
