I mostly play healers in my games and I always suggest switch when we struggle against enemies and I can’t counter them (e.g.: I run Ana to counter their Reaper but they have a Tracer, so I ask for a Brig or Lucio).
For Sombra, I still don’t know how to counter her and her counter.
I know allies can scout her with Mei and D.va, what else can I suggest?
Spread out. If you play a deathball style, it will be the death of you. Still, if she’s going to focus someone with emp, it will definitely bet he healers, especially Zen. That… not a lot you can do about that.
Have Lucio or Zen not in the EMP radius.
She generally doesn’t have a lot of hard counters but a lot of heroes soft counter her. Hack (and EMP) can be very strong but if you have several heroes that rely mainly on their main attack, she won’t get a lot of value with her emp.
If I play Zen, I prefer to switch to Lucio to avoid the insta kill during the EMP. Else, if I heard the EMP, I focus my healing on my Zen or Zarya.
Like McCree, Ashe, Hanzo or Widow?

For the healers it would be Mercy, Ana or Moira?
I don’t really know which tanks are good against her. I guess Dive are bad (especially Wrecking Ball). What about Orisa/Hog?
Zen got hit hard with EMP, but I feel like he can either play around it or hit Q before she finishes her cast time. There s a small window there to outplay her, just like how you would react to an earth shatter, predict and ready to Q at moment notice.

Stun her out of the cast or have a defensive ult ready to sustain through it. The player using the defensive has to hide out of LOS of where she wants to EMP.
Spreading out doesn’t work because Sombra will not EMP a team that isn’t grouped, you need to bait it by grouping as 4 or 5 and have a counter ready to come in after she uses it.

A smart Sombra will always get the Zen or Lucio in the EMP first I think

Not everything in this game has counters.
Another really good example is Zarya’s bubbles.
Just play spread out. If you’re playing Lucio or zen try to stay away from your team when you have ur ult. She’ll be forced to use emp on you or your team and if she uses it on your team you can pop sound barrier or trans and save everyone. She’ll only use EMP on you if you’re zen and she finds you hiding. if you’re lucio she’ll try to hack and kill you but you can easily make her translocate back. Moira doesn’t care about hack or emp.
Dps wise: HANZO. Just play hanzo and sombra is a waste of the hero on the enemy team. I know it sounds stupid but i’m telling you, no other hero destroys sombra like hanzo.
The discussion of EMP reminds me of the ones with Mass Rez - when the only viable counter is “don’t group up” or “let your support hide with ult” there is an issue. However, because Sombra as a whole has huge issues people tend to let it slide. We need to fix Sombra’s base kit so we can give EMP more counterplay.
I think burst dmg can counter it: you pop the bubble and finish Zarya.

For the tanks what should they go? I feel like Hog and Orisa are the one who care the less about EMP but Rein can easily cancel a hack by doing a 180°

I agree with that, it’s pretty weird that the only counterplay is split up and hide. I don’t think Sombra is that strong BUT it’s frustrating to not even have a soft counter in mind when you’re against her.
Before her, I felt that for Widowmaker but Dive heroes are pretty good against her.
Sombra is so easy to counter, if your playing mercy you shouldnt be doing that in the first place. But sombra has low damage meaning she has to track you pretty good if your ana to kill you, if your ana you can shoot her one and nade and basically force her to leave you, you also have sleep. Another thing you can do with ana that you should learn is sleeping trans locators in the sky, if a trans locator is flying in the sky throw a sleep dart because you can cancel the emp. If your playing zen play behind walls because emp doesnt go through walls. Also if you see a translocator in the sky trance before she can teleport.
Why not? I keep my team alive and enable my DPS.
If the healing output is too small, I switch to Ana or Moira.
I prefer picking Moira against Sombra so I’ll still have a way to heal myself if she hacks me. I don’t see any problem with the healers, mostly with the tanks.
As I said above, I want to be able to ask my teammates for a switch (e.g.: don’t go Pharah against Widow please) but with Sombra I don’t really know what to do.
For the DPS know I know, but I’m still confuse for the tanks.
Because mercy has a huge hitbox and if she hacks you her pistol cant 1v1 a sombra.
Ana is better than moria in that she has more counter play, you can sleep sombra which is a auto kill and also if you shoot her once with your gun and throw your nade if she isnt trash she will get out because one more shot would kill her. You can also nade your feet making it take longer to kill you.
Oh I understand! I don’t have any issue to 1v1 a Sombra as Mercy, I like using her because you can keep your Zen alive with constant heal if he gets hacked.

mercy and moira are amazing when you have a zen on your team because you can keep him alive if he gets emp’d. As far as tanks go Roadhog is a no no in lower elo. Sombra just farms him and unless he can hook you he’s just gonna charge ur emp fast. Winston is 50/50. Good winstons will make sombra’s life a living hell but bad ones will just feed her ult charge. Orisa is the best tank against her. It’s very annoying trying to hack orisa and she just pops her fortify or dances around the shield. Also sometimes emp will go off before the shield lands
