What are all the payloads doing in payload maps?

Only a few I know. In Hollywood, you’re escorting Hal-fred Glitchbot and his limo to his trailer. Junkertown has an actual short “The Plan” and tells that Junkrat and Roadhog are going to infiltrate Junkertown and surprise the Queen.

In kings row, Junkrat says “We’re going to deliverer a bomb to bust some bots and I’m getting paid for it”, meaning the payload is a bomb to destroy the Omnic city.

Eichenwalde is the thingy to break down the wall (forget what they’re called lol)

Numbani is Doomfist’s gauntlet I think.

In Numbany you used to escort DF gauntlet to the museum. Now it’s something else.

On King’s row you are escorting an EMP to where omnics live to kill them all.

On Realto you are escorting unknown Talon’s goods.

On Gibraltar you are escortong a satellite that will be used to recall Overwatch.

On Eichenwald you are escorting a ram to break the gates.

On Blizzard world you are escorting the crown. Yep.

On Dorado the payload is also an EMP. You are working for Los Muertos and helping them to deal with Lumerico incorporated.

And on Rout 66 you are escorting a bomb, stolen from the exploded train, to Deadlock gang’s base.

It used to be, then the gauntlet was stolen and you were escorting a broken jar, now it’s something sealed in a safe so we can’t see. Not sure if there was a retcon of what it is or if it’s just some random thing :man_shrugging:

Seeing how we got Doomfist after pushing Doomfist.
Will Lich King will be next Tank Hero?

Numbani was originally Doomfist’s gauntlet, but now it is some tech made by efi.

Kings Row is an emp bomb to wipe out the omnics who live at the final destination, being delivered by Londoners who hate Omnics.

Eichenwalde is a ram to knock down the door to retrieve Baldriech’s armor.

Route 66 is a bomb captured by Deadlock Gang.

Blizzard World is a crown.

Dorado is also an emp bomb, but to take down Lúmerico.

Gibraltar is a satellite that winston uses to recall Overwatch.

Rialto is a bunch of Talon supplies I assume.

It’s called a rampart.

I (vaguely) knew about the others, but this one I’ve never heard about omg.

This one isn’t correct. According to both Jeff Kaplan and Michael Chu, the official explanation of the Dorado payload is that “you’re bringing the power core to the Lumerico power station to restore power to the region”.

And why are we using Los Muertos’ truck? It was shown in the Hero animated short. Weird. But thanks for correcting me.

Oh, I thought you were taking Lúmerico down, judging from voicelines and the truck is from los muertos, but thanks for the correction.
