Why do I feel a country club is really evil on the inside?
STOP T-BAGGING AND YOU WON’T BE REPORTED. GENIUS THIS ONE IS. LOL
You have to be smart with your teabags. You can’t just do it all the time every single game. Only do it to those who deserve it. Like when someone hard counters me immediately and I beat them despite them trying to ruin my game. Those people get t bagged. But if you do it every single kill sooner or later it’s gonna upset someone.
bagging falls into the realm of harmless trash talk, not toxicity.
Curious if using the “tea” emote (Ana, etc.) is considered “tbagging”. I mean, that’s clearly the point of the emote.
As you can see by your exchange with blitzcloud, this game is cooked, the community is cooked and there’s no hope.
People will continue to get actioned, the reasons will become more and more ridiculous, and the ardent defenders of this system will start to get actioned as well and then be blamed by influx of new players who think it’s “fine” and must’ve been deserved.
I’m just curious how long it’ll be until Blizzard’s next lawsuit.
Trash talk is toxic to an extent. Sure it’s also a part of competitions and all sports have some level of trash talk. But it’s technically toxic. Realistically all that’s needed is someone’s feelings for hurt and bam, it’s toxic.
Most the devs who had that standard are either fired or left. Y’all need to stop thinking the devs of 2016 are the same as the devs of 2024. Standards in gaming have changed drastically over the last decade.
I think people who use sprays and place one over my corpse are toxic. They should be suspended for 24 hours for daring to spray the jail icon over my corpse. Even worse when they put the GLHF robot there. Even even worse are the cutesy hero icons.
Yes, this was sarcasm. Yes, t-baggers are silly…especially when you kill them in your next 3 engagements. There are far too many sensitive people in gaming these days.
you’re just toxic. I think Blizzard should add a contract before each game where we can check certain boxes of what level of toxicity we’d prefer to deal with.
Full damage: No.
Person tracking abilities and shooting me: No.
Enemy team coordinating: No , very toxic.
This is the only way we can clean up this fine game. This toxicity has gone on far too long!
it’s not ‘technically’ toxic.
lol. technically?
would you mind laying out the technical details?
something is toxic when it exists on sufficient quantity or concentration to cause harm. trash talk does not immediately meet that definition, and if getting bagged causes you actual harm then you have an actual disorder and should get a therapist.
It’s even simpler than this. There’s no keyword search performed because it’s 100% automated with no human involvement. You can get banned for abusive chat without using chat at all, as the system has no means of determining what’s a valid or invalid report. Pretty wild. An employee will perform a chat search only to uphold an existing suspension, in response to an appeal.
That’s supposed to be the case, but there’s a known bug that sometimes prevents warning notifications from being delivered until after the subsequent suspension is served. I suspect the system is riddled with bugs tbh.
Having said that, I played against OP once and I’m kind of surprised they’re not already banned.
It seems that way, when I’ve had no interaction with this player other than they killed me.
On the other hand, if they’ve been trying to kill me for minutes, and finally do, I find a tea bag pretty funny.
Or if I’ve killed them a couple times and they finally got payback.
I’ve never objected to a good tea baggin’, not even the ones that are just antisocial gamer clichés. Heck, I may have even tea bagged a Widow or two. If you’ve been tea bagged by Mercy, just accept that it’s funny, right?
For the third time now, you seem to not be grasping the concept of someone doing with ill intent versus someone taking offense to actions that are not done out of disrespect. Just because you FEEL like something is disrespectful doesn’t make it so. T-bagging specifically has known connotations of disrespect that is understood by the majority of the community.
Swapping or playing the game as intended is not disrespectful. If you find it to be so, then you are soft. I’m not explaining this again. If you do not understand by now, I can’t make it clear to you.
bagging has multiple connotations.
if i have a drawn out duel with someone where we go back and forth, use all of our tricks, it is in every way epic, that needs to end in a 'bag.
straight up i will feel disrespected if we have a 'bag worthy fight, i lose, and my opponent does not dip.
further, if you get killed out of an ultimate, you deserve to get bagged, and you should accept your teste fate
Many here consider disrespectful behavior as toxic, while others do not. Blizzard is in the former camp, so we as OW2 guests either abide by their EULA or get the proverbial boot. Given how the current report system functions, multiple reports vs. one player carries far more weight than the actual actions per incident. Perception matters more than intent based on what we all see here.
Why do you trash talk people?
so… ana’s spray saying T-Time and her T-bagging emote is toxic too right?
does that mean we ban ana from playing?
have you ever played irl sports?
your question implies that you have not.
in video games i 'bag as my trash talking. i have rules. if i have an epic 1v1 and win, i bag as a sign of respect. if i kill someone out of super/ult without being in ult myself i bag, because it’s the right thing to do.
I’ll report every “kys” but you’ll pry my desire to tbag occasionally from my cold, dead hands
Also, don’t type “tbag???” if I do it. If I have you in the next game, I’m gonna tell my team to do it too lol
