is it any good? i’ve always heard its like overwatch. does it have a viable community.

It’s fun, and cheap to get into when on sale.
Ranked, not so great. Unranked fun.
New characters generally start strong, then get nerfed.
Has battle passes and events, but earning money to buy characters isn’t that painful.
Hit boxes are huge.
Game has cauterise as a natural healing counter, Any time you damage someone they take less healing for 2 seconds. The amount increases each round to a max 90%
Atlas is a ‘tank’ with a sniper rifle. Come-on bliz, I want that in overwatch!!!
All in all, just try the F2P, you’ll get the basic characters plus a few on rotation to see if you like it.

Oh, I like to play it (casualy). 
Some pretty cool heroes in every role. And the actual battlepas is shorter than in OW. 
But the game tends to be very… (very) buggy. 
And I would only recommand Ranked if you have a 5er group.

having played both, tbh i liked paladins better but i havent played in a long time so i dont know how it feels now.

It’s weird how i had everything at extremely low settings and it still studder for it’s good 3-5 seconds, i’ll guess is because of a first time experience? idk
Paladins is fun but also feels empty. Its lacking the polish and because its f2p you have many sexulized skins. Thats disgusting to me and looks cheap. I get they need to sell skins but its not my cup of tea. The heroes are kinda fun but i wish another dev team would pick that game up and make it amazing.

welp Paladins it is tonight i guess…blizzard queue just dont want to cooperate this week.
Wasted 100 hours on it.
The grind was miserable (moreso than the current battlepass in OW2 is, for the record) due to the premium currency issues. If you’re not playing “meta” heroes GTFO (so no different than here), and the maps and world and characters all feel incredibly bland and dull.
Its a decent game,
i actually prefer it more than OW cuz i think it has a stronger core gameplay
If you go in with the understanding that Hi Rez likes to half bake their games and Smite gets all the love, yeah it can be a good time.

It’s like overwatch for people with bad aim. A perfect game for formers.
Ive heard the heroes are okay aslong as you stay away from ranked.
F2p, actually works, has more interesting characters, has talents that change how you play, cards to change it even further, I’ve been playing it for years and haven’t even quit

It’s free, so why not try it and make your own decision?
it’s a slightly worse/better OW2 (subjective)
half the heroes feel like a OW hero mashup 
(the sniper pretty much feels like widowmaker with moira’s fade)
been a long time since i’ve played… but it had a pretty toxic community so i stopped playing and came back to OW
it has the same battlepass as OW2 though 
(you can also buy all the heroes for ever so there’s that. though not sure if it still exists)
but yeah, download it and try it out… won’t take much effort to get used to
If you have a problem with OW then you will have more with Paladins. You get 1 skin each season (2 months) and the rest is locked behind RNG loot boxes or the daily rotating shop. Servers are unstable in the round and buggy. It feels unpolished.
If you played Paladins for a while you will see how good OW2 is. Did I mention that every hero is locked or you have to pay 60 bucks?
I played it at the start of the year to kill some time. Its a good game for a while but not comparable to OW.
Also: playing healer is a no go there. You have to DPS there with all supports or you are useless with them when “90% healing reduction when damage taken” kicks in (get higher over the match).

Yeah, no, they’re not. When I played (I don’t know if it’s changed since then, but when I played) Vivian was broken as all hell, everyone yelled at you if you didn’t play the genie girl healer (Ying or Ling or whatever her name was) and since I wanted to be a Mal’damba main I was, in fact, constantly yelled at, and there was really no proper defense against terrible matchmaking or throwers/trolls who were just there to farm EXP.
Ranked only made this exponentially worse especially as the queue times were awful due to the low population.
I just played the turtel tank? No one yelled at me.
