It’s a pre-launch beta.
I think a lack of balance was a given.
Tracer got a damage nerf in OW2 and it’s pretty significant
Genji doesn’t need one
I think it’s a bit boring to watch when a multiple-character based game is boiled down to mirror matches. Watching Street Fighter 3: Third Strike was also a snoozefest when top eight was seven Chun-Lis and one Ken or whatever, so it’s not something unique to hero shooters for me.
But Brig was also meta last stage even with no JQ in the game. She’s just problematic in general.
She was meta last stage with no JQ and is meta this stage with JQ, you don’t get to claim she’s “not an issue” and then act like that’s the objective truth and call anything else misinformation. LMAO.
Also ironic considering you spread misinformation about Mercy’s SJ constantly.
what significant keku she literally got buffed
her bullets do 3.5 dmg to armor from 1
literally melts tanks
she had a small insignificant tradeoff of dmg from 6-5 which is immaterial in her fight agianst squishies.
This is Blizzard’s fault for making every hero feel so samey. No match is going to feel unique from eachother. If you think it’s boring now… it’s gonna stay that way LMFAO
It’s either going to be Brig or Lucio (or in this case, both). Your third option is Mercy… so yeah, it’s not gonna be Mercy.
So much for the “redefying a sequel” part.
JQ will probably be nerfed for launch but 5v5 will always offer less variety than what you can get with 6v6. Killing that 1 tank per team surely was worth it. /s
Finally A genji meta been waiting for years.
I was worried about this when I saw contenders playing it. I watched the games and was bored, for the first time this season and in many seasons I was bored and couldn’t watch it.
Last night there was a fight on colosseo mid between SFS and WJ that took 2 mins and 40 seconds… 160 seconds! before the first kill happened and the bot moved the first few meters. Can you imagine how boring that is to play?
Seriously blizz has managed to make a hero with their “internal testing” that has destroyed so much of my hype for the game. Look at my previous posts if you want to see how hyped up I’ve been and it’s slowly being killed off if this is the meta we’re left with.
For those that say 5v5 is the problem, 5v5 or 6v6 isn’t the issue. Last stage had a good amount of variety and even had teams like London forcing their own composition to work which was so entertaining to watch. We saw lots of ball, winston, rein, doom and dva and that was 5v5. Now all we’re left with is Joats ![]()
The main problem is not having joats or whatever current meta is, the main problem is blizzard not changing it frequently i’m more afraid of that than anything else like the goat or double stayed for YEARS without any changes and what killed the game
That’s a fair point I didn’t consider. Joats for a few weeks/months would suck, but I could handle and I’ll admit it, I would still have fun for some of it because I enjoy this game entirely too much. But, if this is what we get left with for as long as double shield was and is around for that would kill it for me
Changing the meta would need for blizzard to actually accept the reason behind them.
Its not that JQ team comps are too strong, as they have clear weaknesses. Is that her shout is a great protection against snipers and genji after they removed a tank and destroyed most barriers’ viability.
There is zero reason to use basically every other tank because none of can stop a fast and easy widow swap from oneshotting your team one by one from the comfortable safety of 45 miles away.
That later threat has been the driving and deciding factor of every single pro-play meta for the last 6 years or so. And it only gets worse as you nerf and nerf heroes who would counter those.
What a boring and unskilled post.
What a boring and unskilled comment.
What a boring and unskilled comment.
Which is traced back to Tracer, so go all the way back. Your root cause was Tracer.
I haven’t played in years, but when I tuned into an LCK game, they still play the same picks like 5 years ago with some new ones inbetween, but it’s still the same game in every aspect.
I can understand that.
But, aren’t most eSports mirror matches unless there’s some kind of ban system/1 hero per match allowed?
