It’s to boost their player numbers most likely. It does nothing besides level up the battle pass faster.

The point is simply that it’s a good moment to play if you haven’t finished grinding your battle pass yet, as the end of season is approaching.
If you finished grinding your BP a month ago like me, it is pretty useless (maybe I can get a new name tag, I already got 3, or maybe 4).

The real point is to give one last chance to grind the last levels if people still need them or to get the title you want faster. I am sure some people did not complete the BP, because they had other things to do or could not play for a while. This is a chance to catch up.
I won’t complain just because I am few levels away from 200 but the exp and challenges are pointless in general for anyone who isn’t buying the battelpass.
For people buying watchpoint now i guess.

Most likely number of active players are droping and they are trying to get more active players.
Fixing matchmaking and ranking issue would fix this. But why not go Double XP and log in reward instead.

It’s to help you level up the battle pass. Even if you don’t have it, you can level up to get the free stuff.

Not in the slightest.
Double XP weekends are super common if you have played other battle pass or gacha games before. If you look at the timing its right with Thanksgiving too in the US. Which is also very common to do EXP events around holidays.
