There was no background download, its not happening today. Its going to be released with the switch, would make no sense giving switch players a few days less to experience the event.

It’s really true. I mean, it’s not like 5-6 days less is that extreme. Especially for a console joining nearly 4 years late

I’m prepared to be disappointed. Blizzard in general are a disappointment most of the time anyways. It just takes some time getting used to that fact.

I’m actually slightly disappointed that it’s not today… which also means i don’t know whether or not to get arcade boxes or not, since if i DO it’ll drop randomly like tomorrow or something and i’ll lose out on boxes due to bad luck.

Blizzard only releases updates and events in either Tuesdays or Thursdays so definetly next Tuesday when the switch version comes out considering there was no background download of the patch
And also one of the developers mentioned that when the switch version comes out, another surprise will happen on the servers. I think it’s clear of what that could be

Imagine being so out of touch with your player base you think dropping an event with a unwanted port is a ‘big surprise’
