So, since around 5 Days my Overwatch started to randomly “stutter” or “lag” i opened the Stat Graph ingame (Ctrl+Shift+N) to see what is going on and i notice that whenever i lag, the IND (Interpolation Delay) goes up, with also White and Orange Bars. and the “LAT” Latency stat going up from an average of 6.0 to 109.7ms… the problem is that i dont have any kind of lag in other Online Games. Does anyone else notice this kind of lag and it might be an overwatch issue or am i alone with this?
Unless all other games you play are also made by Blizzard and hosted in the same place, your connections to them wouldn’t be relevant to your connection to Overwatch.
The appearance of white AND orange spikes points to a possible issue with the hardware causing the latency issue. Maybe overheating?
hmm no, my CPU/GPU temps never exceed 50°C in Overwatch. and yes i play other games from Blizzard like Diablo (in which i dont have any issues) and other games from Steam in which i also dont have any issues. i also tried alot already like:
Reinstalling Overwatch
Updating everything from GPU Driver to Ethernet Drivers
Changing some Settings in Windows like turning the Game Mode off/on
and this issue only appeared since the 17th when the 6v6 patch came out, before that, everything were fine
It’s also possible the Overwatch server you’re landing on isn’t the same as the Diablo server (depending on which version you’re discussing).
Blizzard doesn’t provide any server IPs to the public anymore, so you cannot use them to test a connection path. Their new troubleshooting resources are here:
You could try looking up services in Chicago or Las Vegas (where the two NA servers are located) that you can ping to test connections to those locations.
