Eichenwalde and Numbani are the most boring maps of any online game ever. Delete these two maps that require real team coordination that no longer exist in Overwatch 2.
Eichenwalde and Numbani require counters, positioning, and communication. No one does three thing in Overwatch 2.
At least in 6v6 we had 2 tanks. Here in 5v5 I have Orisa/dva mains doing nothing when enemies are zarya/sym/mei.
Eichenvalde is one of the best maps in the game.
So a big disagree there.
Numbani I have no strong feelings for, but taking it away from players who like it seems like a jerk move.
this is the craziest take. Both of these maps are perfect for this type of game. Tons of different routes to attack and defend from, a great path for for the payload with tons of different points to hold and attack from on multiple levels. the push maps on the other hand suck and needs to learn from the og overwatch maps
so what do players really think about them when they’ve taken away PvE for overpriced shops skins and take way 6v6 for 5v5? Or taking away the social aspect of OW1 LFG function? Or removing 2cp for Overwatch 2.
taking out maps (Eichenwalde and Numbani) that are no longer useful in the new 5v5 format would be a QOL change because of how much they removed.

Yeah, best maps, if you like playing narrowatch, cornerpokewatch, and chokepointwatch.
i want actual fun maps like Runasapi, Blizzard World, Circuit Royal, Dorado.
New players in OW2 can barely take down a lucio wall riding or a pharah/mercy flying 24/7. New players constantly leave Eichenwalde and Numbani in quickplay

THe two maps you linked have tight choke to push - wall riding lucio have been here since 2016.

Enemy plays tracer, genji and reinhardt. Horrible.
Flank routes everywhere, you have to look behind you all the time (more than on maps like circuit or esperanca). You get picked off all the time because you’re attacked from 3 directions at the same time while the tank just hangs around the bot while your team keeps getting ganked because you get everywhere through everywhere and no one can hit the flankers.

I’ll stick to the og maps that haven’t been ruined by reworks like junkertown was.

One of the best post-launch maps that didn’t focus on narrow chokes all over the dang place, and they never really capitalized on that until OW2.

The only map is dislike in this entire game is New Queens Street. I hate and avoid it when I can.
