Weapon Accuracy - and what we should be aiming for?

So I’m wondering what a good average weapon accuracy is for the majority of the hero pool. For those of us not very seasoned in the dps department or those of us just trying to improve, what are the numbers we should be aspiring to hit? What’s considered decent/average accuracy and what’s considered stellar accuracy for the following aim dependent heroes?

Ana:
Ashe:
Dva:
Hanzo:
Lucio:
McCree:
Orisa:
Pharah:
Reaper:
Roadhog:
Soldier:
Sombra:
Tracer:
Widow:
Zarya:
Zenyatta:

Many thanks for the help!

whatever let’s you kill the other guy faster than they kill you

and 50% accuracy is not equal to 50% accuracy, it has context. hitting 50% of your shots as mccree against goats in bronze is not the same as hitting 50% of your shots against dive in gm

and a 40% accuracy can be better than a 50% one if the percentage of headshots is greater in the lower accuracy, even if you’d do the same overall damage because burst is always more valuable

and there is poke and trash damage, which is meaningless, you can hit 80% of your shots, but miss those 3 shots you should actually hit when the enemy finally gets onto your point and your accuracy is worth nothing at all

For D.Va 30% or higher is good.

Trick to shooting the bad guy is missing as little shots as possible, while moveing you mouse as little as you can

Most heroes have the same movement speed, so you actually dont have to move your mouse nearly as often as you’d think as a DPS

These are just going to be heroes that I’ve played or know people who are very experiences on them. It’s largely based on t500 players stats but you should really not worry about what your accuracy stat is and as you improve your accuracy will go up. Good aim exercise is literally just playing the game, or if you really want to grind your aim then play deathmatch a lot. I also know a lot of players who recommend playing Osu to help with aim but I haven’t personally tried it.

I can tell you that for tracer you want to be aiming for at least 38% accuracy with 8% crit accuracy, 40% accuracy with 10% crit is ideal, anything above that is god level (least in T500). In lower ranks you probably want it higher. Ik that on my alt that when I was ranking it up I had around 50% accuracy until I got to high masters with it. So if you’re in your sort of “peak rank” where you stop hard carrying every game and your SR gain/loss levels out, you’ll be having around 38-40% with 8%-10% crit accuracy.

For widow, having above 25% scoped crit accuracy is pretty good, but I don’t play widow myself, thats just what I see other good widows around. Every other accuracy is basically unimportant.

With Soldier you want to aim for above 40% weapon accuracy and above 6% crit accuracy.

Ana you want to have 60% accuracy scoped and unscoped.

Zen you definitely want to have more than 10% crit with above 30% regular accuracy.

Lucio should be around 30% accuracy with 8%-10% crit accuracy.

You should be aiming for the enemy.

The accuracy stat is totally meaningless. Getting kills is all that matters. You can be shooting for fun running to point from spawn, suppressing fire, prediction shots, accuracy vs different heroes at different skill levels etc etc etc

I wouldn’t give the number any thought whatsoever.

100%

Dont thank me, Im just trying to help.

depending on the hero I might do a lot of spam firing and that just kills the stat. so every once and a while I deliberately don’t do that just to see what my real accuracy is.
