We warned you about Brig

We warned you about Brig being problematic. We warned you about how incredibly broken she was. We warned about how her design is so horrendous that the only way of keeping her from taking over the entire game was to make her trash (and we didnt want that). We warned you about how making a charcter this forgiving while at the same time making them so powerful was going to be bad for the game.

After 61725178 Brig nerfs we arrive here. A character that needed so many nerfs just so we can hope the meta she spawned doesnt hold the game hostage anymore.

We warned you god dammit. And after all the “Forum Briggitte” jokes here we are. Talk about back peddaling. Next time listen to your players a bit and you may end up not messing up this bad.

PD: Nice map tho.

Oof preach it homie. The devs have too much of a big ego to realize that the hero they created was god awful by design.

I feel bad for Brig. I wonder if she’s going to get a rework?
And yes! I love the new map. c:

Nah, what am i expecting. It’s blizzard.

What’s even scarier is how long the Original release of Brig lasted before even the first nerf, so many people moved up to ranks they don’t belong in.

Hopefully.
We all know number changes wont fix her.

So it’s either a rework, or her being nerfed till uselessness.

New map? Great.

Brigitte? Definitely not as great. She needs some serious work.

(BTW I love macarons so this map is perfect. I’m also quite interested in Paris)

Shoot I was asking for this a year ago…i do t see it as a brig nerf so much as a change that should’ve happened ages ago to begin with

LOL, calm down, man, Brig was never that bad.

They only really respond to posts that don’t relate to balance/praise them… So yeah, unfortunately.

What do you guys want out of Brig?
I like the low skill primary attack and the small barrier shield since those both make up for my terrible skill at first person shooters.

The abilities and design of the hero aren’t bad, if you do drastic changes without removing/replacing any ability of her kit you can get yourself a healthy and balanced hero. The problem was the way Blizzard implemented the abilities in the hero:

  • Stun going through shields
-Being able to reset your self healing each second
-Being very tanky when she had 600hp shield
-Stun in a 5 sec CD (what where they thinking?!)
  • Ult that gave 150 armor that lasted forever and remained behind shields
-Having a combo that deleted Tracer from the game
They put her abilities in a way she became an inconsistent healer that couldn’t heale several teammates without hitting an enemy, so they buffed the hell out of her CC, armor and tank capability. Now she is only viable in GOATS, which if we delete her from the game right now, it wouldn’t do anything, GOATS would still exist.

Also, that’s a nice map right there.

Wait, what’d I miss? Did they do something to Brig again?

Armor over shields now.

Don’t even bother picking her for anything anymore… she and Doomfist have been effectively thrown away :frowning:

Not directly, they change how armor is positioned on the health bar.

I’ve been saying this since she came out. Im not foing to stop now. Also I do think they realize their mistake, they just wont come out and admit it.

I hope so. Ive been always been a fan of Paladin-like characters. At the start i really wanted to love her but man after olaying as her and against her for just a couple of matches the problems were too obvious.

I have little faith in this game and in Blizzard. However I would love to have the satisfaction of the devs comming out and owning the Brig fiasco.

Yes this should have been in the game since the start, however the change definetly affects Brig’s viability. Its not a sledgehammer nerf but it stands as yet another backpeddaling meassure from Blizz. Another beacon of shame in their horrendous legacy. Enjoy everyone.

An interesting, at least somewhat deep character. First of all, if you have trouble aiming, a good characyer might be Winston, who requires a ton of skill. Brug’s kit is currently designed in a way that allows her to cover any possible weaknesses she has in the easiest way possible. Literally everything she does gets value no matter what.

The gamesense and positioning requirements are trivial because of her reliable self heal, stun, cc, extra armor health and barrier in comparison with other characters that have even worse mobility and health. Her RP cannot be wasted, even if the ally is at full health the game rewards you putting armor on the target. Your ult can be spammed as long as its ready bc there is no precise timing necesary as Licio or Zen need…I could go on but this shoild give you an idea.

Overwatch PTR might as well be removed because it doesn’t matter how much feedback we give them they still release it the way it is.

It disturbs me to see experienced Devs meddling with core gameplay mechanics like the construction of the health bar. This is not going to end well; Unintended Consequence town welcomes you, the bar is open and serving fresh Cheese Comps and glasses of inevitable Whine

I mean. We tried to tell them. We made countless suggestions on how to fix this problem without creating another F tier hero, but here we are.

At this point, Brig needs to be reworked into a full time main healer OR a strong off tank that can’t heal that much. I would be in favor of either one but considering Hammond isnt much of a “tank”, maybe Brig could fill that role.
