We need to go back to 6v6 but with 3 dps

1-3-2 with current tanks will work really well.

The moment you start nerfing raid boss status of tanks the role will empty out in a min.

Right now there are three problems.

  1. Supports are not fun cause they don’t have enough peel.

2.Tanks are op

3.one pick immediately decides the fight outcome.

All three can be solved by adding one more hero and making it 6v6

With 3 dps supports won’t be the primary targets as much as now and get peels.

Tanks won’t feel as op when there is one more squishy against them.

One pick won’t immediately start cleanup phase of a fight.

Also will solve most q issues.

No… we don’t. It won’t fix DPS queues, because it’s the same Issue that OW1 had, except it’s not people wanting to tank, people don’t want to support. I can’t blame them.

It will cause its maths, you give one more slot to dps you automatically reduce the number of dps matches you need.

Also your argument makes no sense.

They did this in OW1 experimental. People liked it but not enough to replace 6v6 or OW1 in general.

Then tanks will just be the bottleneck anyway. That doesn’t really “solve” it.

They won’t be cause tanks are FUN now, they will have raid boss level power without being a issue like they are now.

Road hog will still get his picks but it won’t break game like it does now cause 5v6 is better than 4v5.

I still don’t get why one had to deleted another. The 1-3-2 in OW1 had their own stats and even new abilities to match the changes and it worked. 6v6 still existed and nothing was deleted. Hell they could of done 5v5 in OW1 and would of pleased both sides.

I guess slapping a 2 on the game and replacing a game a lot of people liked was the better marketing path I guess.

Then tanks would have to be even more ridiculously broken to try and stop 3 dps from exploding everyone.

TTK would be super omega low as well no matter what.

I much prefer the 5v5 tempo, it fits the MOBAesque speed of the game, theres no 6v6 MOBAS as well, think about it, why is that?

Have you played experimental during ow1? I thought it worked, I think 5v5 doesn’t.

I think 5v5 is great, much prefer it, coming from some1 that plays since the very first OW1 open beta.

Yes, I think the last one like a year ago it was 1-3-2. Tanks were buffed and having 3 DPS made it fun af!

I dont remember this… i did basically stopped playing on Double Shield so the content drought stuff i mostly missed.

It likely made playing exactly DPS fun, while the other roles were not so much so, experimentals are usually not very long lived either, i literally dont recall any feedback from that one.

Yea no 1-3-2 was no fun as a tank main…

Mobility creep is a thing already and having 3 DPS with that in mind is a no go.

It was short lived, 1-2 months (someone correct me). I went back and fourth to QPC 6v6 and 1-3-2 for that month. It was fun but I was never like ‘this needs to replace 6v6 now’, I was like ‘It’ll be cool if this was a permanent mode’ and that’s it lol.

Yeah, looking back at it now, i think its pretty much just worse 1-2-2, it makes the tank role even more too power-spiked and supports even more of a target, with the fights being even harder to follow, people just kinda either die too fast or the tank is just there being immortal.

When Blizzard put this in experimental the tanks were fairly beefed up.

I wouldn’t call it fun, but it did solve the DPS queue times, at the time.

To me, it was more preferable then, and to be honest, may be more preferable now to the 5v5 ____fest we play currently.

I didn’t pay much attention to it cause it was whatever and just remember having fun on it (ball was buffed, he could slam just by jumping. OP af lol). Im sure it was broken but again it didn’t replace the game so it was a side thing.
