We need solo queue

another thread because this needs to happen. Acitivision/Blizzard…whoever, apparently thinks that solo queue being matched against highly coordinated, high level 3, 4, and 5 stacks is fun. A little insight, it’s not. Well, maybe for the 5 stacks of diamond and masters players its fun, but for us solo queue players, it’s not really.

I wish Acitivsion or whoever owns this game now, would just come out and tell us who they designed this game for. Is it supposed to be for everyone? Or only your high level coordinated teams?

I really think we should have this.

World of warcraft arenas has this and it is a great hit.

It took them very long time to consider this but now you have titles and it is a main mode that players delicately que on weekly basis.

Considering they just ruined Open Queue this season by putting solo queue players in with Wide Groups (which wasn’t a thing before) I am not holding out much hope that a Solo Queue of any kind is in the works (as much as I wish it was)

sorry, i just dont agree, especially in comp, there is no reason for a solo queue player to have to enter a competitive environment against a full team of people who have been playing together for years and who are very coordinated.

It goes against the whole spirit of competiveness

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I am not entirely sure if my Sistah Spice and I could be considered a “full team.” It certainly feels like it more often than not. But we couldn’t do it without our teammates. For better or worse.

Pro’s - Solo que will instantly become a hit due to large number of players who que solos.

Cons - the mercy mains will come to the forum and cry now that they cannot que with their freinds.

We could also get friends

i understand, but im just coming from the other end of the line, where solo queue players have to constantly face stacks. I know its’ fun to group up with friends, but sometimes, that experience makes for a bad and even lopsided experience for the solo people on the other team.

Yeah, no.
With 6v6 looming it’s head over the horizon, having two separate queues for each resulting in 4 individual queues is a terrible idea.

they can still queue with their friends, just in a game mode that allows them to queue as a team

but is it any better when you have a large segment of your game not having any fun?

you also have to remember, there are games that coming out that are more likely to fracture the player base even more…so youd want to make sure who you do have are happy

just dont let them have a tank in stack it can even be 4 stack, i trust the matchmaker to give me tank diffs against 4 stacks.

when the tank is diffed even 4 coordinated people mean nothing .

i find it doesnt really make a difference, at least down where I play? you get a coordinated 3 stack even, can make a difference, because they can coordinate their attacks on comms (discord), something that solo queue players dont generally get.

How does this make a difference.

A 4 man team on discord is more coordinated than the red team who is not on a discord ?

He is implying that a Chad Reinhardt can easily manhandle 4 discord kittens at once.

That used to be the norm not anymore if the tank is not in the 4 stack.

So a soloq team with better tank wins or a 4 stack with weak tank loses.

More like the one with weak rein loses :hugs::v:

Nope. Tank+support duo is one of the worst things to play against when you are solo, especially if you are the other tank.

I now check every QP game to see if the other tank is grouped and leave if they are. The quality of my games has definitely gone up since I started doing that.

that is still ok to manage. the issue is the 4 stack that que into solo.

If they have a stack, so do you.

is that necessarily always true? i was never aware that the game operated like that
