Let Reapers Wraith form make him invisible after a set number of seconds. I’d have a field day making Mercy OTP’s days miserable.

We do have invisible heroes. There is a small square box in all roles except they all invisible.

One of Reinhardt’s perks should give him permanent invisibility.

It doesn’t make Reinhardt invisible to the enemy, only to his own team.

They should have a mode where everyone is invisible, as well as the map, and you have to play by sound.

lol no, OW devs dont know how to balance or design invisibility well at all. Meanwhile rivals has like 3 invis characters and none are a fraction of how frustrating fighting sombra is. There cooldowns not being the most forgiving possible cooldowns you could have probably helps.

I can already see everyone complaining about invisibility again—just like in OW1 with Sombra. “She’s too passive. She does nothing…”

I think Invisible Woman’s invisibility is on the more accessible end. Even then, you – ironically – don’t spend that much time invisible as you’re always helping your team. It’s more of a “between combat”/escape flavour thing. It’s not like she has lots of mobility outside of the double jump to go invisible at will, either. That’s why I would like an invisible support in Overwatch.

Yeah but comparing IW to sombra should make it understandable why noone has any faith whatsoever in the OW team to actually balance it correctly.

Invisibility is treated with the respect its power level deserves in rivals and OW devs dont get that. There track record with this mechanic is absolute garbage. All the invisible heros in rivals take lots of investment and skill to use properly, meanwhile sombra is the definition of training wheels.
