We MUST be able to use old weapon skins

Iam begging for swappable weapon skins from another skins for 7 years and now we finally got it, kinda? No, we must buy new!

If you let me use my old ones i will buy new ones happily; but this right now is literally a scam.

Let us use weapon skins we already have!!

This is crazy, neverending scamming, just add cooler new weapons with sound effects, people will buy that, but what about our hundrets of other weapon skins? I love some reaper weapons i really want that to put them on another skin, same with every hero basically…

So lets logically look at what they did:

They made weapon skins which means for those heroes they have already separated all the models into “weaponless” versions that they can stick the weapons on. Every single skin those characters have, has a weaponless version of it’s ingame and 1st person view available if not actually in the game.

They have the models and positioning for every weapon out there available because I’m reasonably sure that’s how that works. The models have a rigging for the physics affected parts and positioning necessary to put them in the right place as well as models available for when you “die”.

Therefore it’s basically a matter of busywork to apply horse to cart for each since they’re definitely swappable. This is intern level stuff with a little QA. Why WOULDN’T you do this? .

Because you’re looking for how to make people pay for it. And if you made this available nobody would buy your silly apple “i-gun” looking white smooth things.

i would get silly new weapons, i wanted to buy the package, but i thought its obvious we can use old weapon skins too… not buying anything now

OK I feel a little bad about yucking your yum here, so you enjoy what you want… but yeah… 11 bucks for 1/10th of a skin is ridiculous.

It’s obvious the option should have been available… but it’s also obvious if you look at the decision where their priorities lie.
