Don’t you guys agree this game would be way more fun if there were other elemental type effects in the game other than freezing people?
What if there was a fire wielding character to melt Mei’s ice wall - or save his teammates while they are being frozen? He/she could also prevent Mei from healing while she is frozen.
Mei can slowly freeze someone, but what about being able to light other characters on fire? Mei would be more resistant to fire while this new character would be more resistant to freezing.
What if they added other elemental effects like electrifying characters which stuns them for a short period of time, or acid burns that slowly take away health until a healer starts healing them?
I feel like all of these ideas would make Overwatch a much better game.
I dont think over complicating things would be good since its a shooter not a pokemon game, theres already 28 heroes and 4 classes (now simplified to 3) that a lot of new people (even dedicated players) dont really know how or when to use as you rarely see the counter picking used to successfully solve an issue.
What I mean is that there’s already several requirements to play a hero effectively… mechanical , position, awareness, communication, kit usage, ult management, adding elements on top of that that has new interactions with previously released characters would be a balancing nightmare.
At blizzcon they talked about the colour of ablities and why healing is yellow and not green. They mentioned that they will use the colour green for poison when the time comes.
Yeah I was thinking about this, maybe it could act like Borderlands and corrosive attacks eat through armour, shock through shield and fire through flesh or regular HP. Each could have a DOT that applies to it’s specific “super effective” health type
Winston’s weapon is electricity-based, and Isn’t Ana’s primary fire technically a type of toxin?
I would like to see a weapon that’s like, fire-based and does extra damage to armor/ignores armor’s innate damage reduction. Best to not put that on a tank, though (rip flamethrower MT design)
