We failed OW2 yall

So people did end up buying skins and the battlepass, probably making more money in the past month or so than in the past couple years. Embrace more financially controversial decisions with a particularly poor quality of BP content

There will always be people who buy into this stuff, no matter how awful it is. That’s just the way it is.

If you expect something and you’ll end up being disappointed.
If you expect nothing, you’ll probably still end up being disappointed.

true that happened, and its not the communities fault there are a limited number of games like overwatch, because other game developers arent good at designing multiplayer games like blizzard. blame them. they’re too busy with pachinko machines.

Whales gonna whale. No amount of community activism will stop them.

i dont see the other game companies making a game like overwatch and not doing the same thing. apex is literally the same greedy model. they always want the extra $ its the way of the world. if there were competition and they didnt charge, blizzard would be forced to reduce prices to keep it all going. not saying it’s right, its actually highly immoral.

Majority of the competition just died and went away. The players never gave a real chance for any other titles. People just swarmed around OW and they played us like damn fiddle. We are the real fools.

you call this multiplayer… its a mess of a game. its buggy as hell. rewards are awful. matchmaking a joke. playerbase has way to many fortnite cod type players… this game is a shadow of its former self!!!

they know they can sell battlepass 2 even if 70% of it is junk, it already worked.

…so people made a personal financial choice in regards to their own entertainment…?

Whose fault is that?. The fools that calls themselves players who buys junk. iT’s OnLy 10$.

they keep pushing the boundaries and the goalposts, though. so its flawed to keep saying “Dont like dont buy”, because it’s a case of not adapting to them moving goalposts. you have to reaccess the new price model and then decide if that still applies.

…and how is that the responsibility of someone making a skin purchase in their leisure time exactly…?

because if the price continually increases and you keep saying dont like it dont buy, then you arent resisting constant price increases, basically youll get walked on. idont care or bother ppl about their skin purchases, but i also dont justify the increases and keep saying dont like dont buy, every single time.

…you’re assuming everyone views the prices as ‘expensive’ when in reality, everyone has different earning/spending power. I’m not going to ‘not’ buy a car because other people can’t afford one lol…

this has nothing to do with battlepass or price… the game is broken… its a worse experience than OW1… matchmaking is utter garbage… to begin with hiding player info i thought was a good idea but now it needs to come back so i know what I’m plying with and against.

I’m just about done with this game now

oh i just noticed it’s you, someone who enjoys debating w/me. i probably shouldnt take this so serious then, you probably dont even have stake in this topic.

If 35 million people played the game, I would imagine at least 1 million are still playing. That would mean 97% of players quit and never played again they would still have 1 million. That is an insane number of people most of which are casuals that do not read forums or watch YouTube drama videos and just buy stuff if they feel like it.

Just bought a great new adventure VR game, for the price of 2 legendary skins.

:broken_heart: Overwatch

battlepass 1 wasnt very good to me, might be a bit too early to call it.
