Devs: We cant change the % of anti because itd be waaaaaayyyy too confusing from a UI pov due to the existence of Junker queen who also does anti. How are you supposed to have ANY clue whether you got hit by bio nade OR were nailed by junker queens ult? Its super easy to confuse the two.
Also devs: Were going to have Sombras EMP hack last twice as long, and still say “hacked” on the top of your screen all the same.
So glad were so concerned with UI consistency here.
Sombra is just as privileged as Ana with this new development team. They have loved her since before the launch of the game when they ignored everyone’s feedback on Neo Sombra.
I always felt like 1.5sec was way too short. Its lethal if you are out in the open and werent’ playing next to cover, but if you are along with any other supports nearby the lockout time is so short you can barely even do anything off of it.
The 3sec will not feel as bad as 5sec, but perhaps 2.5sec would have been preferred. The general playerbase could barely evne make use of 5sec EMP, so I doubt they will be able to make much better use of a 3sec lock out.
I’m surprised they only took it down from 30% to 25%. With 3 second lockout and the damage combined it’s going to be pretty comparable to old EMP in terms of effectiveness. Like you said, 2.5 seconds seems like the safer choice.
If heals are dead or limited or far away, the 25% dmg is permanent progress and guaranteed. Hack is powerful in the narrow window you have it and if you blow it (person walks to cover) or evne get stalled out for not catching a support in the blast radius or die, then the hack did nothing. 3sec is overwith very fast while the 25% dmg is perm progress until a support comes by to heal it.
If a big screaming aussie lady is heading my direction while flailing a big axe I probably know what hit me versus something that turns my health bar purple with almost no sound…

Not saying they can’t fix it some way (like changing full anti-heal to purple + hatched insides or something), but having it both be purple would obviously be confusing in some cases.
To be fair. Thats true. I mean I wish theyd just tell you people straight up that they do not consider anti a balance issue instead of giving that weak excuse.
But the emp changes actually makes this harder since emp will take less health away. Being hacked isnt a big issue for a mercy that already valked
