They would of treated us better
Haha that’s a good one.
A battle-what?
It’s sad that both lawbreakers and battle born failed purely because of poor launch windows. If they were to release today they’d probably succeed.
I EFFING LOVED BATTLEBORN!
My wife and I have lamented the loss of Battleborn since the servers shut down. There’s hope for either a new one or a re-release of an updated/optimized original as the devs have often stated in interviews that they want to return to it. Also, we don’t know what they are, but in their development roadmap, they have 6-8 “return to previous projects” lines without actually saying what projects, so a lot of folks (myself obviously included) are crossing our proverbial fingers and hoping it is time for BB to rise from the ashes.
I did from launch until its last day, loved it so much. The story missions were phenomenally fun
Any other Orendi mains in chat?
Damn i always meant to play it because i liked the amount if characters there was but i fell for evil blizzard addictivness. Im so sorry battleborn
Montana, Miko, Benedict, and the little witch with 4 arms whose name escapes me at the moment. Thems were my jam.
Lawbreakers, Battleborn, Gigantic, and Paragon. All of these games suffered from either a poor release window (back when Blizzard was still beloved), poor marketing, or players finding something else more popular (Fortnite to Paragon).
The only possible NEW contenders (besides Gundam Evolution) are probably XDefiant and “Project: MATTER”?
You mean Orendi? She was orange with a witch’s hat, and somewhat reminded me of Tiny Tina.

This is incorrectly assuming BB was a competitor to OW, it wasn’t.
-
Battleborn was a mediocre experience to begin with whereas OW at least delivered on what it was intended to be in a very clean way.
-
While they’re both scummy companies, we have to remember that we only got the masterpiece that was BL2 because Gearbox literally stole money allocated to Aliens Colonial Marines and put it into BL2’s development. And because of this, subsequent BL games have proven that they’ve been mediocre experiences at best without the money and talent behind them.
No, BB is better off where we left it in favor of OW.
I still miss Dirty Bomb.
She was actually voiced by the same VA!
Pretty sure she’s also the same VA who does the voice for the little robot in Fortnite’s PvE Save the World. (also very fun btw)
I say this to myself quite often.
In a different timeline Battleborn would be the more popular game and we’d be treated better with full content and better gameplay.
Battleborn did melee in a shooter so well. I was very impressed.
Boulder all day!
Yes that’s Orendi, the girl I was talking about! Chaos magic so fun.
With her ult You could place a giant “F YOU” damage pillar horizontally or vertically in the match, was so versatile
Because it’s the same voice actress, the legendary Ashly Burch
As someone who greatly dislikes MOBAs as a genre, I actually kind of liked battleborn. It’s a shame that it got pitted against Overwatch in the public consciousness (deserved or otherwise) and lost.
Honestly, I know everyone hates Gearbox, but I feel kind of sorry for them. They’ve been desperately trying to get a hit that wasn’t called Borderlands, and they’ve just been completely unable to do so.
As much as I enjoyed BB, the community was pretty bad there too. Management of the game and timing of the release didn’t help either. I think It would have failed. But I do miss it.
Change the title to we should of all played literally any other game instead.
Battleborn was pretty mid. Lawbreakers was better than Overwatch for the one month it was alive.
