Watchpoint owners should get more

Like instant access to more than 1 hero and a few skins like I could of got 2 or 3, overwatch 1s for the price of the watchpoint pack and it kinda feels like a scam ngl.

They technically have that option if they spend their 2000 coins to buy 2 battle passes with heroes in them.

well, that’s only three heroes tho and you cannot buy skins unless you wanna grind dailies

It’s instant access to more than 1 hero like the OP requested

Also instant access to some other cosmetics too apparently. Season 1 gets you the EDM D.Va skin for example.

but unless it’s like tier 1 which I’m pretty sure I seen it’s 50 and if the battle pass pays for its self. It wont be a problem if it pays for itself for me because I play alot and would be able to get a new character on tier 50 but if the BP doesn’t pay for its self then its a huge scam. And also a few cosmetics are not really a point to defend the pack

My theory is they plan on you not having enough with 1 battlepass which you could either. Give them 5 more dollars to get to 10 to buy the next one OR. since you have 540 for the first hero one. You could do weekly challenges in the next battlepass without the hero and have the 1080 to buy the next one with a hero.

It’s tier 55 for the free path of the battle pass. The premium path gives you the new hero instantly.

It’s objectively not. A battle pass + 2000 coins costs $30, plus another $10 for 2 legendary skins (Which is half as much as they would cost in OW1)

If you care about the skins, it’s a good deal. Otherwise it’s not. That’s all. In no way is it a scam, not even close.

Not to mention it comes with OW1 for those who didn’t already own it when purchasing.

The value may not even be that good because I doubt 2,000 coins is exactly $20. Usually as the cost increases, you get a bonus. So a $20 pack will probably get you 2,300 or 2,500 coins. The pack could have been more generous when more content, at the very least more coins.

I mean, technically yes

But still, the 2 legendaries make up for the extra $2 worth of coins you’re missing out on. Again, if you don’t care about the skins it’s not worth it.

Oh thanks for that, I didn’t know that was already revealed. I’m still not sure I want to buy the pack. I think the value proposition is really close, and it would have been nicer to offer greater value. They could have even bumped it up to 3,000 coins. It should have been 50 or $60 in value for $39.99.

Yeah, like I was saying if you don’t care about the skins (Or the exclusive player icon that you can’t get post-launch lol) then you’re better off just buying the battle pass and 2000 (Or 2200 rather) coins individually

I have a few days to decide. I wish it included more. Even a day one nameplate, some charms, sprays, and a little more currency. The pack is really conservative, it seems like it’s worth $40 exactly and then OW1 was a free bonus. The skins look cool but I don’t play those two characters that often, I probably would have locked in if it were skins for characters I love.

1 battle pass 10$
2k overwatch thingies 20$
1 icon free
2 legendary badass skins probably 20$ each.

All legendary edition content 59.99$

A nameplate would be awesome !

You got access to a Beta, a copy of Overwatch Legendary Edition, Season 1 Battle Pass ($10), 2000 Overwatch Coins (roughly $20) and a few extra skins. There is definitely $40 value there, especially if you didn’t previously own Overwatch beforehand. Also remember that the Standard Version of Overwatch sold for $40 when it originally released in 2016.

For current owners of Overwatch it might not seem like the best deal but its a good value for new players-- especially those who want to skip past the First Time User Experience when the game launches.

Will the watchpoint pack still be available October 4 and beyond for newcomers or even if it is it won’t contain ow1 whole characters unlocked ?

Battle passes don’t pay for themselves as they have no currency in them and the earnable challenges give you enough for every second BP. So even if you buy 1 BP you miss the next one anyway lol; $10 for every BP

that is if they able to survive the temptation of store item

ofc, new player wont buy it. they wait to see when its free. pack its just the normal price for bp and , maybe for the skin. and that is a damn shame. selling their pack and saying its free to play! it look like free to use, but pay for fun and win…
