The best Ana player I’ve ever seen on stream, and after going 5/5 during placements as Tank his team is now getting stomped on his Support placements even though he’s not dying and displaying insane game-play.
Can confirm… Doesn’t matter how well you play as support, unless you switch to dps and do their job for them, you won’t be winning many games/ranking up. It’s the most frustrating thing about 2/2/2. You NEED to queue with a tank or dps in this meta.
Yeah, it’s really frustrating. In the past other players on the team would usually swap or we would have 3 dps to make up for the bad DPS. Now it’s like oh damn, we just lose? I’m legit 700 rating less than I was 2 days ago playing the exact same characters and it’s making me not even want to play the game anymore. Like the rating doesn’t bother me so much as feeling like I’m playing my heart out and playing way out of my skill rating and repeatedly dying because I’m stuck with terrible DPS or tanks and no one on the team can swap.
Can confirm this is a team game and if one sucks it will cause a chain reaction doesn’t matter which role

I don’t understand, how does 222 make this any different than normal? Supports have always been harder to carry with.
Just because dafran, not a support main, can’t carry every single game at his own rank doesn’t mean it’s not possible to carry with support at all.
You just cant like ever anymore. Even as a DPS. You need your whole team otherwise you will just lose. You can pop-off, but you wont win if your team furthermore sucks. Back in the day it was possible. Now it aint anymore. The game changed to much to be able to.
I have a friend that if he picks Lúcio on Ilios victory is almost guaranteed lol (On other maps just very likely)

Watch ML7, some good main healers can carry.
But the point of the game is playing as a team, so doing combos and playing as a team would work better
Or, and this may come as a shook, people aren’t as good on their roles as they thought they were and the new system is finally putting people were they belong.
I am not picking your post specifically, but this general attitude of “Oh I can’t swap, I’m losing cause someone else can’t do their job” “issue”.
First, that is intentional… and because everyone is being sorted out in the system in placements (and beyond) thats just the same for everyone. Once people get placed, teams will be more “even” but now you have to be better at your role, not your mains.
Second, mathematically, it doesn’t matter over time; everyone will face the worse teammate, and suffer equally, along with what no one here EVER gives credit to, being CARRIED by a BETTER teammate…
With 2-2-2, this is just more obvious, but its ALL RELATIVE and the SAME for everyone.
I find it funny that you use dafran as an example as to why role queue is terrible and it’s impossible to carry, yet dafran loves the role queue.

This “carry” mentality is silly.
Yes you’ll have moments where you pop off and carry a fight. But that isn’t standard. 90% of the time your team wins fights as a collective.
Trying to “carry” all the time doesn’t treat this as a team game and assumes incompotence from the people you are trying to work with.
People seem to always forget this is a Moba you can have 4 top 500 and 2 bronze in one team and 6 m or gm in the other team and the top 500 will lose it is not easy to carry in any role because people share responsibility in this game and a lot of people refuse to admit this… I had trash tanks and I died cuz they never pushed I had trash healers and I died cuz they didn’t heal and I had trash dps I died cuz they didn’t kill… I do not know how people believe that a role can carry more than the other… Literally no role can do the task of the other role so there is no hiding or carrying… A Carry in ow one sick ult, a game changer… You can suck the whole game and get one kill that wins the game and you carried but carrying in ow is not a constant action carrying is a 1 sec thing in overwatch…
I don’t know why the player base thinks a specific role can cover up how bad another player was
Are we expecting Dafran to carry on supports, a role he doesn’t typically main…when playing against people that are on his level probably on their mains?
I get the guy is a great player, but it’s a team game and the people he is playing against are not exactly bots.
People just assume he is the best OW player in the world, because he can play DPS well.
It doesn’t mean he can play supports and tanks at the same level he can play DPS. You assume someone who is a good DPS is automatically a good support or tank.
