Compared to every other hero Zarya got turned up to 11 so I’m just curious why they went so over the top with Zarya. I haven’t even seen half the tanks because every match is people playing Zarya as she is just so much better.

I mean Flats (the guy responsible for the tank changes) plays a fair amount of brawl Rein. So I’m sure he has a certain understanding of Zarya.

flats just went full bias and buffed rein and zarya then gutted every tank he doesn’t like (i.e. Ball, Hog and Sigma)

I’m not saying whoever did the changes doesn’t understand the hero, but she is so broken in this experimental it’s kinda silly. Reins changes don’t feel oppressive where as Zarya is just unfun to play against.
The Sig changes were pretty questionable.

I was sus on the ball changes at first too, but double boops are insanely easy now. He lowered the skill ceiling of the hero, but I wouldn’t call it nerfs.
flats is a rein player lol so obviously he’s gonna buff rein-zarya

Hog orisa and sigma feel bad.
Dva, Rein, Zarya, Ball feels good after getting used to it.
Winston is weird, hard to juggle with the jump changes.
But overall, I think he did well with the tank changes.
I’m perfectly happy with double shield and bunker just not existing.
Ball is actually better in my opinion.

From my perspective the changes in the category for tank were let’s do something crazy and fun vs changes for balance or “real” reasons.
Cant say I blame him just wish the other 2 had followed suit. Shoot for the sky crazy and maybe hit a few things that turn out to actually be valuable changes long term.

But yeah the changes were pretty busted. I’m guessing it’s something that could be tested for 5v5 though for sure.
Would like to see the alt fire changes go to live though with some sort of grav nerf to compensate.

I would like the Zarya self-knockback to be just a liiiiiiittle bit higher so I can hop onto that Nepal rooftop outside of spawn without having to go up the snowbank if that’s okay

It was made by Flats, a hardcore Rein main, from my understanding, Violet, the Brig God, basically, and this other DPS player that I don’t know too much on, if I’m being honest… I don’t think there’s any Zarya mains in this list.
A good Rein is best with a good Zarya so I’m sure his Rein bias rubbed off on having the best partner tank. Oh, and look who else got buffed, DVa.
Basically every tank got buffed to OP-Level, except for Roadhog, and while Zarya obviously is good, compared to the D.Va and especially Rein buffs, Zarya seems to be pretty “normal”.
Or in other words, Zarya herself is not that OP, but her best buddy Rein is so incredible strong, that he carries Zarya with him.
I mean, that doesn’t mean Flats is a Zarya or D.va main. Not by any means. +, he did the “buffs” to D.va for Emongg. 4 me, as a D.va main, what is a buff on D.va is actually a nerf. I’m not gonna explain it to u though, cuz I don’t have the time, nor the will, to wanna explain further. Just, believe what y’all wanna believe.
Zarya feels more like how she would be in Overwatch 2, with a bubble pool included.
Sigma feels kinda bad with no barrier. His grasp should get buffed more besides just the speed buff. Maybe gives more shield hp or go the Zarya route and make it bigger. Or increase the duration.
