Hitscan damage now scales to 30% at maximum falloff range, down from 50% for the following heroes:
Just thinking (and playing) of Ashe was wondering if the down scope was unjustly nerfed? Or did her falloff already further out when usin down scope?

The nerfs to hitscans would be fine in my opinion if they also nerfed Mercy/Echo/Pharah. There is currently no straightforward way to kill a PharMercy/EchoMercy in GM+ unless you have a Widow. Anything else won’t kill the Pharah

Yup I think I saw samito or someone checking overbuff winrate in GM (throws salt over back) - pharah at the time was at 67%

Pharahs nearly every game has become very boring and repetitive, I don’t care wether the Pharah is on my team or the enemy team, she just ruins the match

Funny… That’s everyones complaint about Hitscan as well.

While that is true, I would WAY rather play against hitscans than a flying monster. Atleast againt hitscans I can duel them as Lucio and Ball pretty easily. Only time I can reliably kill a Pharah as Lucio is when she doesn’t have a pocket, but that still requires SO precise rollouts and hits to kill her

I get that. And I’m a Hanzo/Hitscan main. But the community is paying the price for what they thought was a better game.
Personally I love playing Pharah and with Hitscan where it was previously I never got to since I wasn’t a “true” Pharah main.
So it’s nice to be able to play her closer to where I belong without the struggle bus

My issue with Ashe is that her scope, in general, is very buggy and unfixed - there’s a ludicrous amount of noregs on her compared to other hitscans.
It’s a sad day when I get more value out of hipfiring on people over scoped shots.

The damage fall off was a reversion to her previous values. It put her back in line with all the other hitscan characters.
I don’t think it was too harsh, honestly.
I remember this whole thing and they definitely patched the worst of it. There are still some weird instances but it’s far from consistent.
I think the range difference between Ashe and Cree is too small. But because of the size of Overwatch, if Ashe had longer range, Widow would be useless. And if Cree had less range, he’d get absolutely dumpstered.
remembers that they nerf’d mccree’s roll distance

The problem is that inconsistency isn’t good. I get way more consistency from 76, even with his irritating recoil, which shouldn’t be happening with a scope-down hitscan. Hipfire? Sure, that makes sense in being inconsistent. But it’s not a good sign when you can’t get regular, good results with the scope compared to others in the same class of hero.
Even enemy Ashes, they’re usually just free kills and the only real “value” they bring is with BOB.
