please, be VERY careful as this is a skin with a total black recolor of kiriko’s base skin… plus some slight modeling to the shoes and hair. nothing quite different from the treatment of moira mime and gingerbread bastion. probably zero special vocal or special effects that justified the price o the “legendary”. is it right to support something that we had already discussed in the past with the developers of how wrong and incorrect it was in comparisons with the community? Hi there. Sorry you are disappointed with Mei’s winter skin. We don’t have a specific rule for what makes something Legendary or Epic. We just sort of make a gut call based off of what we think is cool. Coolness is very subjective, and based off of the community reaction it seems like our gauge was off on this one. Our reasoning for it being Legendary was that we completely redid the visual effects for Cryo-Freeze (we turned the ice block into a snowman). We thought that was pretty special and we had done it specifically based on community suggestions from months ago when people were speculating that we might have a winter event. Apparently, lots of people don’t agree with us and that’s ok. It’s all good feedback and we’re learning something for future events.
For people concerned that Mei is not going to get another Legendary for a long time, you need not worry. We have something pretty awesome for her early next year.
Apologies that our “cool meter” was off from yours on this one. We’ll try to align better on future content.

I just don’t get why they’re selling those skins specifically as legendaries when they already sell Epics as… Epics.

I know it´s a cartoon character…but jeez, what´s up with this characters having 75% of their body made by legs? Symmetra too. It looks so disproportional and so riddiculous.
People who create that are horny and hope, that players would be too - I get it (I don´t actualy), but when it´s too much, it looks just…bad.

It’s one thing, if still crappy, when a skin can be obtained through playing, but when a skin is only available for purchase (an expensive one at that), it’s critical to live up to rarity and quality expectations.
Alas. clearly this is just them seeing how much they can get away with and idiots will probably lap it up.

Then you made me feel bad. 
Though I do have to note the character she’s cosplaying is certainly not 75% legs, this is just what happens when you translate the design to Kiriko.

As someone, who also draws, I just find it kinda insane. OW has this “realistic” style, where most characters got kinda “anathomicly fine” design. And than you have these few characters, who look like from a completely different cartoon with their exagorated limbs and butts, that it looks funny compared to the rest of the crew. Just saying xD

I see the green fox which probably means green gates instead of blue fox and blue gates. But I doubt it will actually be green if not even her Mythic skin can have different colour fox and gates.

I wouldn’t buy it either way, I don’t particularly like it, but this should be priced as an epic 100%. I’m guessing their attempt to price it as a legendary is the fact that it will likely be exclusive as a collab skin and never return, so you’re paying 20$ to feel special in a couple years.
Symmetra is the OG legs. Theyre long so she can do her silly walk
