Thank you for taking the time to read this topic and for your replies
I am planning on buying a new gaming mouse next week, so wanted to ask you for recommendations or what you are currently using.
The one I have now is Razer Deathadder Elite.
It is not broken or anything and it is still serving me perfectly. No issues whatsoever, but I got it like 3 years ago or so and I want to get a new one.
So what kind of a mouse are you guys using, your experience and what do you recommend?
I am more than satisfied with the one I have. It is great indeed, I agree. I have no issues with settings, already have it to my liking
It is just like worn out and old I am planning on doing some upgrades in the near future, upgrades on my PC and such and I always like to start with a mouse Dunno why, maybe some weird OCD
Hi friend. The Deathadder was my very first “gaming” mouse. I loved it, and even miss it sometimes.
The answer to this question is going to depend heavily on if OW/Shooters are your predominant game type, or if other games like MMO’s/Minecraft are you favoured kind of game. For now, we’ll assume FPS!
I swapped up from the Deathadder to the wired G Pro. Today, I wish I had gotten the wireless version and I may still… but the G Pro has been by and far the absolute best FPS mouse I have ever owned. It’s a little smaller, and a little expensive but the wired version not nearly as much as the wireless, and the mouse itself is well made.
I would absolutely recommend the G Pro to just about anyone who’s okay with a smaller, feather-weight mouse.
I have had a bunch of mice - both Logitech and now Razer. I loved Logitech, but they have had too many issues lately with buttons ghost clicking and so on after 4 or so months. I have been through two G403’s so far, before I went with the Razer DeathAdder Pro V2 Wireless, and despite a slight build issue with the casing, I think its going to be my final one for some time now. I have a host of others including the Lightspeed, 503, G-Pro, etc. I am hopeful the optical switches in the DeathAdder hold up better, and I do like the shorter button travel as well. It’s just darn hard to beat this mouse right now.
Logitech was my first love tbh, and was my first love for a very long time. Anyone remember Logitech MX518? Ah, my never ending love Was my first gaming mouse ever.
Sadly, in my opinion they have gotten worse recently. I never used a wireless one, dunno was always kinda scared to try it, due to battery. Are they better than wired ones?
And has anyone tried the steelseries gaming mice? If so, what are your experiences?
The wireless G Pro I spoke of is the G305, not the G Pro Wireless… the G Pro wireless is actually its won mouse/shape.
The wireless G Pro is apparently very good, and matches up with any wired mouse in terms of performance and reliability… but I do not know what the battery life is like. Just reading, that actually convinced me just to stick with my wired G Pro…
Sort of irrelevant but I felt the need to correct myself
I am mostly asking for FPS games. I do not play MMO’s and for other games I play, a type of mouse is not rly an issue since those games are neither online games nor FPS.
I play the Witcher 3 and Skyrim mostly apart from OW and I use my Xbox controller for those, so a mouse does not really matter.
I have not tried Steel series, but they sound… interesting. You are correct about Logitech, their quality across the board has been slipping for years now no question. This from a die hard loyalist that is still using a wired mouse from them (two in fact) connected on my desktop.
Wireless for both Razer and Logitech is utterly reliable, and I can get about 4 days of heavy use on my current Razer DA P V2 wireless from full charge. Once you go wireless, you won’t go back I promise you. I have a wired mouse on my desktop, and use wireless on my game laptop, and when I switch I feel it. Just waiting now for a white Razer DA P V2 to come out to pick one up.
I neglected to say, I have one of these and used it for a week before the Razer. it is a good mouse, my only issue was the ambidextrous design, I never got used to it but it is good nonetheless. IIRC, the battery time is pretty good, I think about a solid 5 days with heavy use. Also concerned about the lack of optical switches.
I have found Razer to be my “one and only for the past 3 year or so tbh”, but I posted this topic since I did not try the new Logitech ones in a very long time and never tried the Steelseries ones, so wanted to “test the fields” with you gamers before I decide on which one to buy.
If I had not had two mice go out within 6 months and read about constant button problems with Logitech, I would still be using my G403 religiously. That being said, it has led me to the Razer DA P V2 and I can honestly say I am hooked on it. The shorter button travel seems oddly to help with aiming as well, at least for me weird as that sounds.
Honestly, the best mouse for its price is the Glorious Model O Wireless. Wireless is already amazing and this company spends a lot of time perfecting their products. Everything that you need to full kit or add on to this mouse is also on the website. It comes in white or black and has rbg. It is also super light.
I read about them - I have to admit, I am very skeptical of this open honeycomb design that seems to be coming in. Humidity from your hand down into the internals along with dust and oil seems like it would be a problem. What do you think?
I liked and still sometimes go to it for a bit on my desktop, but the mouse requires a claw grip, and I am a mostly-palm grip person. I like the Razer DA P V2 because its mostly palm with a little claw at the finger tips. But the Logitech G Pro is a good mouse if you are claw grip no question. its got to me the best click feel of all the Logitech’s I have used.
Would you believe I played OW on a Trackman for the first year?
So you guys think that wireless is indeed a better option? As stated previously never tried it before, but I am definitely willing to give it a go if you have had positive experiences with it.
On wireless, search Youtube for testing of latency, people have really, really tested this out finely, and it works very well for both Logitech and Razer. Today there really is no difference.
