Three times in a row. I swear people are doing this on purpose at this point just to troll.
I mean as a DPS player myself, it sucks. But honestly, itās for the good of the community since people abused the privilege before locked 222.
Games were always inconsistent and many DPS players were left with the choice of either switching to a hero they sucked at anyways or potentially getting steamrolled against a Hog who could hook and then instakill all of us (just one example).
At least it forces all DPS players to value every individual match as best they can since you are eating so long to get in one.
So uhā¦ Can we take a step back and look from peopleās āleaversā perspective for a moment?
I was think kind of player for quite a while. And you know what? This was absolutely not my fault. When I was playing with my friend, my friend would connect to the server just fine, and Iām still in the main menu clicking that ārejoin gameā button for the 164 time.
And theeeeen I get the message in chat āUnable to connect to the server. Unknown error.ā
Iām connected to the match chat and even voice chat. I can talk to the people, but canāt join the game. That was the most BS thing that could have happened to me. I felt really bad and felt a huge shame on myself, because I ruined that queue time for both enemy DPS players and my teamās DPS players. I, myself, was queuing as a tank, and this wasnāt much for me (except my SR tanked a lot bcs of that error and I got 3 bans of total time 10+15+30 minutes (1 hour basically)). And this happened 3 times in a row.
That day I just felt like "f*** it, I donāt want to ruin anyoneās time and excitement and my SR. So I just took a break for 2 days after this incident, waiting for Blizzard to fix server problem.
Iāve started only playing about once a week, though I havenāt played since the Hong Kong incident, but - in my experience itās basically
Wait 5-10 minutes, get a match, play just fine and after 2 minutes someone leaves, leaving us 1 player short for literally the rest of the game, INCLUDING the next part of the match, meaning itās a 5v6 for the ENTIRE TIME and yet if I leave somehow Iām the one that will get penalized (why???) and forcing me to play for about 20 minutes knowing that itās a losing battle the entire time. Get frustrated, but tell myself the next match will be better.
Wait 5-10 minutes, get a match, smurfs on my team and or enemy team making my contributions mean literally nothing. Either I never even see the enemy because theyāre getting torn apart by the smurf on my team, or we literally canāt even leave spawn at the end of the match because itās that disparate in skill levels. Get frustrated, tell myself the next match will be a ārealā match.
Wait 5-10 minutes, get a match. Seems fine at first, doing my best, and- Oh, someone said something in main chat and now two players are just typing at each other screeching and the match is ruined yet again.
Honestly I donāt think Iāve played a real match of overwatch in like, 2 months, legit. The game wonāt let me.
Privilege? Did I not pay for a product? Is it a privilege to eat a hamburger you bought when itās warm? How about to drive your car when you turn the ignition? Or do you have to wait 15 minutes before it will crank to drive to the store? You people need to go back to SCHOOL and learn definitions and why they are important to language in order to convey thought.
