Vulkan/DX12 Support

I know that for most of you, these two APIs are just gimmick, but Vulkan and DX12 provides some increase in performance. This is just suggestion but, can you please add a support for these two APIs to work on the game? Because it can give some FPS boost to some people like me who has iGPU and dGPU on their system running at the same time.

Native vulkan support would make running on linux much easier too

This is literally the least important thing for this game right now, my laptop with an MX150 runs it at 90-100 fps at 1080p low and there is no weaker modern graphics card than that.
Let’s not spend resources so people with a GT1030 can play a borderline dying game at 4k…

I feel like they said they were working on dx12, or at least it was a possibility, but Vulkan would be too much work. That was like 2 years ago though so I’m probably remembering wrong…

Wonder when OW graphics team, will have to make a big update for 4k textures. Next-gen consoles are post 2020, with the capability of 4k. So that means visual improvements are a must

I can count the games that uses vulcan on the fingers of my hand. It is very unlikely to happen.

Also OW uses DX10A or something.

Wow I never knew this. I assumed OW was at least running DX12.

I love vulkan since doom when it boosted my 4k frames to playable.
I hope it would also help ow and even could utilize the resources better and by this save some power.
The DX12 option would only be a good idea if they do it like wiht wow and make it available for Win7. (No win10 upgrade pressure please!)
But the advantages for linux are only there with vulkan.

It’s probably not worth the time and money investment for Blizzard.
They could have done it from the start, but then this game is built off Titan and the new APIs didn’t exist then.
