Voicechat ‘works’ in the sense i can hear other people but cant talk. mic works because i talk on discord alot. ive looked through so many guides on youtube and google but none have helped my problem. whenever i click the hotkey for voicechat it plays a ring noise and then nothing. my name doesnt show up in the top left and no one can hear me. if you know the solution please help me as i would love to interact with people via vc instead of text!
This is usually caused by a connection problem, you can try the manipulations of the following article:
Disabling IPV6 can also solve this type of problem (sometimes).
Sorey for the late reply, I have tested all of them and my voicechat still won’t work.
Hey, so I’ve been having this issue since the launch of Overwatch 2, and I literally just fixed it by bumming around in the Bnet website settings themselves.
So I went into the settings, Privacy & Communication, then the third option down is Voice Chat. Make sure this is set to Listening & Speaking.
My issue here was at the launch, a pop up came up asking if I wanted to talk to my teammates and I assumed I wouldn’t want to, fast forward to now, I do want to!
Anyway, I really hope this helped because it has frustrated me to absolutely no end, and it seems noone anywhere has an answer.
