For the past few months now I have had a bug where I cannot use the in-game voice chat. Every time I queue up with my friends the message:
“voice chat error [-1002]”
Pops up on my screen. I have tried to fix it myself and have checked my computer and headphones and they work just fine, my microphone also works absolutely fine in other games and in discord but not overwatch, what do I do?
Have you checked your battlenet settings to ensure you have voice chat enabled? Not within the game, but within your battlenet account.
Yep that’s all enabled

Oh I tried there, I got absolutely nothing the past few times I tried. One time I sent this message on General and a moderator put it back on tech support and didn’t even respond to the question I asked.
Are your battlenet Parental controls active? I had this issue for years before realizing that the PC’s got enabled somehow.
Thanks but I checked that and that wasn’t the issue either.
Idk if you’ve already looked but I dug up this thread, seems to have a few work arounds

It might be your ISP since I had a friend from KSA that had issues like this for years. Off-topic but anyone remember that bug where you could hear enemy team voice? Fun times!
