Funny thing here is; I was playing much earlier and it was working fine- however few minutes in and this started happening persistently.
Initially I thought “Oh no! My audio device/connection is having problems?!” and then I remembered, “Oh yeah… this happened a few months back, when Blizzard servers was having problems.”
This “bug/error” also affected a couple of my friends.
My solution was to actually exit Overwatch’s team voice chat system, and went on to Discord.
Honestly, what seems to be causing the problem and why does it seem like their techs unable to find the solution?
And before someone comes in to say whatever I was doing was wrong:
No, this isn’t some “dormitory internet connection”.
The voice chat was working normally for quite some time- this is an unusual but fairly uncommon occurance that happens when-and-as-it-pleases, with no way to reproducing this error consistently.
Team voice chat works fine at times, but chooses a random victim on unusual times with no notification that you’ve been muted/kicked from team voice chat.
You can’t even join back as the mic icon doesn’t even toggle when you click on it.
Most of the time by restarting the entire game fixes it, but this time round “Error 5027” seems to be sticking to me with a vengeance.
